The actual staff are fine this should not reflect on the care staff many of which are being forced out, their finance group borderlines on fraudulent. The back office is completely unorganized and completely focused on bilking every single dime from patients. They don't post bills online until a week goes by and the same day they post they have a telemarketing operation hound you with calls multiple times a day demanding money for charges that they failed to charge for initially and have neglected to post demanding payment. Actual patient care is a complete secondary concern. You can do better than Vertava Health, which now owns Connections.

I’ve been in therapy for years and have seen several therapist because I’ve moved and what not. But this has to be the worst “help” I’ve ever gotten. Jennifer was more worried about knowing my entire life history rather than dealing with my current situation. It was frustrating because my other therapists have let me talk about what is going on at that moment and then they dig into my life history. Jennifer just wanted to take three sessions to talk about history. She asked me some questions that weren’t even all that relevant and when confronted she tried to tell me that’s just what she needed. She was more worried about making her points than helping me work things out. It was also very hard to get any appointments at this place. To be honest I felt worse off after talking with her. I was frustrated. I’d rather work it out in my own than go to that woman. I’ve only had one other therapist like that and he ended up being investigated years after I left. Glad they aren’t offering therapy sessions anymore. No one needs to go here.

I am giving a star for the people that actually work at the facility. My counselor, who is no longer with them, was great! The nurses were great! Otherwise, this review would be zero. I am extremely frustrated with their finance group. They are the WORST.

Be careful what you sign upon entering the facility. I owed a significant amount after my visit. I asked for a payment plan. I paid $300 a month for a year. They claimed the ‘contract’ was over in April. Keep in mind, I have been paying and even paid this month. It was down to $1900. It should have been less, but I was seeing one of their people monthly. The way they charge is fraudulent. I never can get a correct answer from them.

I called after they charged the full $1900 on my card on file. They have a call center with people are hard to understand. I am more stressed out now than ever. It makes no sense that they won’t work with someone, especially in mental health.

It is shameful what they do to you financially. I am all for getting paid, but it should be done with integrity. You are in charge of people’s mental health!

I am so disappointed and sad about this, I just had to let it be known. Stay away from here if you want to protect your finances. They are outrageous!

Btw, they keep you going to visit and charge. I meet my deductible almost immediately, but they overcharge. My bill should have been paid down, but they added way more than they should have. I am getting a lawyer to look into this. Especially after reading all the poor reviews concerning finance.

THAT SHOULD BE A RED FLAG to ANYONE who is thinking about coming here. Finance dept RUINS this place!

The only reason I am giving one star is because I can’t leave a review if I don’t. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to be repeatedly charged incorrectly. They take your card information to automatically charge your card and then when you question the bill and ask for statements, you swept to the side. We have been repeatedly charged incorrectly. Told there was nothing they could do, the bill was too old. Then when questioned on a recent bill that was blatantly charged twice for two different amounts, was told it was a balance. No!
Their billing department is a joke!

So many major issues I do t know where to start. As others mentioned billing is a major problem. But even worse, if you need disability paperwork sent to your employer to keep getting paid they will be late and mess it up every time. All the people in group were in panic throughout their treatment due to paperwork issues. The care team is constantly changing due to high turnover. Half the people there will treat you very badly. And most groups are now run by social workers rather than licensed counselors. They will also always have a student intern there to watch and document things about you for school. You can’t opt out of they and there’s to warning before hand. Then they will abandon you with zero help or follow up claiming they have “limited resources”. I felt gaslit and like nothing but a number to this company. Shameful. Hopefully the licensing boards will take action against them all. They are doing harm to the community and making money off the backs of vulnerable people.

IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH first of all! Secondly, their billing department is awful. I cancelled an appointment 2 weeks ago and now just got an alert saying I have an appointment scheduled today I've been on the phone - on hold for over 20 minutes to let them know I don't have an appt today. This is so frustrating! I wish I would have read all these terrible reviews before I ever got involved with this place.

In the past month, I lost my grandmother & my dog. I had to reschedule my last appointment which I did so 3 days prior but b/c no one ever picks up or communicates, I was still charged for a missed appointment. This part is frustrating but what followed was worse.
After rescheduling (virtual appointment) I was told yesterday that I had to come in for an in person for a refill. This would have been fine if I’d been able to plan but it has now not only forced me to move an extremely important appointment regarding probate therefore pushing back my ability to purchase my grandmothers car but also has now placed my job in jeopardy.

I called & spoke to someone about a week ago who rescheduled my appointment for the 18th & said I could get a partial refill on my medication until the 18th.
Yesterday I was told I had to come in for an in person appointment despite both my canceled appointment & my new one being scheduled virtually.
I can’t reach my doctor directly, have been given different information from every person I’ve spoken to, was once prescribed the wrong medication from the meds team who argued w/me that it was the same as my prior, & then finally changed it after I finally convinced them to call my pharmacist who yelled at them for prescribing not only an incorrect medication but the worst possible med they could have given me.

I now have an in person appointment on Tuesday & having to change everything around has also placed my job in jeopardy.

The miscommunication, failure to care about their patients, & complete disregard for mental health has exasperated all of my symptoms & b/c I wasn’t told I had to attend in person in order to get even a partial refill, my anxiety has spiked. they’ve absolutely ruined my weekend, not to mention my being taken off a project at work therefore losing even more income.

My doctor had originally set up my visit as virtual & despite this, I still can’t get even a partial refill w/out significant negative impact on my life & I honestly wonder how many patients have ended up having nervous breakdowns b/c this clinic does not care about their patients.

Oh, and the med they argued w/me over (which wasn’t even the same lettering as a completely different medication was prescribed by an outsourced team who calls in refills) & the effect took me out of commission for a month.

This place is revolting. Full of money hungry, incompetent, rude people. When I first got help at Connections Wellness it was amazing and I was lucky enough to meet an amazing therapist! I was told that my insurance was taken with no issues and that I wouldn’t have to pay anything! Great!

Then randomly, months and months later, I was sent an email from them that I owed $700+ for my appointments and that I would need to pay or set up a payment plan. Calling billing was a nightmare, I was hung up on multiple times no matter how polite and clear I sounded, for some reason no one could understand my issue, and I was transferred who knows how many times to someone that could “help me” (they didn’t help me). When I finally was able to get SOMEONE that knew SOMETHING I was told that Connections Wellness didn’t even TAKE my insurance and they had just continued to bill me without letting me know.

I am now stuck in a horrific payment plan where I am CONSTANTLY spammed with text and emails about my balance how it hasn’t been paid. No matter how many payments I actually do make, it doesn’t matter, I’ll still get spammed. This has been going on for months, and it has done nothing but make me miserable and stressed out. The stress has made my mental decline, which is the exact opposite of this company’s job.

My psychiatrist who writes out my prescriptions is unemotional, judgmental, and cold. They have always made me feel uncomfortable, and like my mental illness is an inconvenience to them. I had to practically beg them for a new medication because the other one they had prescribed for me wasn’t doing anything! In all honesty it just made my symptoms even worse! The only reason I still go to the appointments is to get the meds refilled, but oh wait! My psychiatrist doesn’t even do THAT for me. I do not know how many times I have had to manually request a refill from the website because the psychiatrist, for some reason, could not do their job properly. All I know is that it’s been too many times. Way too many.

Scheduling is a nightmare. They will cancel appointments and not give a heads up so you can reschedule, or they will reschedule it and not inform you AT ALL about it. So now you have a random appointment at 11:30 that you NEED to attend, otherwise they charge you 100$! Not to mention the people on the phone are RUDE. I was explaining to a woman on the phone that I needed my meds refilled, but that my psychiatrist had denied the pharmacy request. She then she proceeded to tell me “Well she cancelled that appointment, and you need to schedule a new one” (I didn’t even know my appointment had been cancelled until that moment, my appointment would have been that next day.. I had scheduled that appointment about three weeks ago) with an incredibly condescending tone. When I explained I’d still need my meds refilled she proceeded to say: “Well your psychiatrist is out on vacation currently, but we can have their sub fill it out with you, you’ll just need to schedule an appointment”, so I scheduled one an entire month out since it was “the earliest time available”. The woman said finally, “We can send out a refill to get you by until the appointment” just in the snarkiest tone you can imagine. Also, this entire phone call took about 25-30 minutes.. to schedule an appointment.

This place is horrendous and a waste of time. If you care for your mental health/state AT ALL you will avoid this place like the plague.
