“It’s the time to put it out there Barbara Cummins misdiagnosed my dad from anaemia I'm being anaemic when he wasn't my dad went from 16 stone to 9 stone in three months he looked deafly & we asked for her to do a home visit which she declined & did A telephone consultation without say so we asked for a home visit but she didn't do that she still kept saying that dad was anaemic but actually my dad died within three months of lymphoma a pure misdiagnosis from Barbara Cummins who is a Senior Partner in this Practice because she's been at longest. Let me tell you I have been at this practice for 42 years & I left because she misdiagnoses my father who I watched decline deteriorate losing dignity and dying a death that was painfully harsh on him & his body & our family. Barbara Cummins you were not there at the hospital watching my doctor deteriorate deteriorate at home you do not see the death of people you've misdiagnosed on multiple occasions, including myself yet you still have that still have that your Patients how do you spell but have been loyal to you for over 42 years, until you misdiagnosed my Dad! I had to endure his death and painful death in front of my own eyes. Patients do not want to come and see you because of your abruptness & put incompetence. Bridget Docking your Practice Manager should have been sacked like yourself along time ago. If Barbara says ‘Sit you Sit’ because you’re scared of being Sacked. When Dr Adams was there everyone wanted to see her not Barbara Cummins! When Dr Williams was there they all wanted to see her! Not Barbara Cummins! They have both left? I wonder why? You are not fit to be a Senior Partner Barbara Cummins I was at Coleford Health Centre for 42 years before you Incompetence! Now you are amalgamated with Brunston Surgery to save Coleford Health Centre from all the bad Reviews & Bad Complaints that you have received from a members of the public of the FOREST OF DEAN, particularly, Coleford! You are trying to get your Review Ratings up! By going through an NHS app they will actually make your stars go from zero,I hope that all of these complaints are removed and moved to the NHS app to show people how poor this practice is because of Barbara Cummins who is incompetent & I can't diagnose somebody with lymphoma that says they are anaemic! I joined Brunston & was under Dr Haverty who left to go to another Practice in Hereford & I wondered why? I met Sophia Sandford twice who not only put me under a Multidisciplinary Team of Consultants without my Consent without realising, I had a negligence case of 4 1/2 years against Gloucestershire Royal Hospital because they Missed Diagnosed me on multiple occasions & did Surgery unnecessarily and my body has been left with Damaged for Life! Sophie Sanford had put me into a consultant that did damage to my body realistically would you like to go into somebody that put you under a knife unnecessarily? The answer would be no. Dr Sophie Sanford had no idea what she was doing she didn't listen to me didn't want to listen to me and never listen to me I left surgery because the incompetence of it I left a review on their website and I'm not ashamed to do so because these reviews are for a public to put their opinions on. I'm harsh but I've lost both my parents, I've had a lot of misdiagnosis on myself and my father was misdiagnosed by Barbara Cummins. I would like to say to anybody that wants to go to this particular Surgery to look at the reviews because there are a lot of bad ones. I have been discriminated because I am disabled the reason I am disabled because this is because I've had bad luck and also misdiagnosis from Gloucester Royal Hospital on multiple occasions. Congratulations on Barbara Cummings become a senior partner because she's been at a surgery for the longest! I was at coleford practice for 42 years longer than you! SOPHIE Sanford to attend the multidisciplinary without consultation to myself without knowing me personally and knowing what I went through with post-traumatic stress from Gloucester Royal Hospital!

I have never experienced such rudeness and short shrift from any members of the NHS as I experienced here today. It doesn't bother me too much personally but to see people well into their 80s treated this way left me quite appalled.
I am just about to write a detailed email to send to the surgery AND the local ICB.

Worst receptionist ive ever encountered at a drs surgery. My sister is a drs receptionist so I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but the older lady at Coleford family drs lives up to the reputation, she is so rude and condescending and definitely on a power trip! I spoke to my sister about the waiting times for appointments here and she couldnt believe it! She is so appalled she says its become a bit of an ongoing joke now in the practice she works at in Corwnall, all the drs there make fun of the drs up in Coleford who cant/wont see a patient for 2-3 weeks minimum just for a phone call and 3-4 weeks at least for a face to face, they are all shocked and amused at the incompetence. Whenever anyone makes a mistake now in the surgery they joke about how they'll get sent up to Coleford to work with all the other rubbish drs/receptionists that arent fit for purpose. Wouldnt be so bad but when you do finally get an appointment, sometime next month, the surgery is like a ghost town and the GPs and receptionists are standing round chatting cause they have nothing to do so its no wonder other surgeries around the country are laughing at the drs and receptionists at Coleford family drs surgery. Unfortunately the people of the town are left suffering though while our local surgery becomes a laughing stock for all other surgeries to have a joke about. Not sure who the manager is but they must be so embarrassed,

Had to wait over 30 minutes for my appointment, but the Nurse which I was booked with had a issue with another patient which had to be sorted. Grateful we have still brilliant NHS staff who care. Nurse N took time with me to advise and listen, fantastic!

My 17 year old daughter phoned for an emergency blood test requested by her Consultant ready for her Operation in the next few weeks. The Receptionist who picked up the phone left her in tears. Rude, snappy with no kindness or understanding whatsoever. Its not the first time we've experienced this either as I've personally written a letter of complaint for the same reasons.
The surgery is funded by public money and should be serving the people. Anyone else in this role in hospitality or retail would not be allowed to speak to people in this way. Sadly there are some very kind receptionists and doctors within the practice, however a few are letting the side down. Please act professionally and make sure all staff are courteous and respectful especially when you're dealing with vulnerable, elderly and young.

Edit: 3 years on and sadly service has been poor (not like my previous review) from them sending my medical letter to another patient to poor communication between staff themselves. The wait for someone to answer the phone is also not great.
Previously not had a good experience here. however since having changed GP (a trainee who has since gone) I have changed my mind and hope to receive the same thorough and polite treatment.

Unbelievably bad service. One of the receptionists is really rude , that's if you can get through to talk to them. You normally are kept on hold for at least half an hour. Made an appointment for my husbands mother today who is in her 80s with dementia and was really sick but they didn't turn up!

Dr Alex, Ros and another nurse were so wonderful this morning when I wasn't well after taking a blood test. Fear of needles. Wonderful staff who really care. So professional, it makes me proud.
