Yes the practice has its problems like many many others across the country, but I believe when amazing service has been provided it should be shouted out! Shiraz is an absolute super star. He's been an amazing support to me and my journey so far. He has a genuine interest in his patients and is a pleasure to deal with. Please never leave Shiraz.

Myself and my son have just attended an appointment with Dr Chakrabarty, she listened and was polite and helpful and engaging not only with me as the parent but also my son who she put at ease while having his appointment. It made the appointment so much easier for us and dealt with our concern.

I've been registered with many doctor surgeries, I have to say this is one of the worst one I've ever been to.
They literally DO NOT CARE. you try ringing them in the morning, after some time of the line ringing, eventually it just cuts off and tells you to use ask my GP online service where staff don't ring you back and it's a constant battle to even see a doctor!
I eventually had a "phone call" from one of the consultants and she took the entire 2 minutes to talk to me after she's eventually rushed me off the phone.
I don't rate them at all and don't think they are bothered at all about patients' welfare.

Appalling. The inefficiency and lack of organisation experienced while my elderly mum was with this surgery was astonishing. Lacklustre receptionists who have less than no interest and give one word answers, disorganised appointments where issues aren’t dealt with, remiss to say the least.

Registered with another practice and within 1 day all of mums issues had been dealt with.

Avoid if you can.

Excellent all round service from Cleveland Surgery today.
Phoned up for an appointment as was having internet issues.
Very friendly service from receptionist, then called back within 5 minites with an appointment for later today
When arrived, was seen by Dr Rather on time and heprovided an excellent caring and professional manner. Very pleased. Thankyou

Has to be the worst doctors I’ve dealt with, tried getting an appointment the last 3 days everyday told to ring at 8am the next day just to be told the same thing again, if you actually want to be seen by a doctor avoid signing up to this surgery

I would give no star if I could. Over 4 years our family experienced worst service from this surgery.
I noticed my kid flat head when he was 4 months old. Had an appointment with doctor and he asked me with a very condescending tune “how many children you have”. I told him this is my first. He then replied “oh then that’s understandable” ie I was making a bigger deal than it was and then sent us home without any solution. Now my kid is 4 years old. Than flat head side had no change and is very obvious when he has got shorter hair styles. Some kid can get bullied because of their differences.
My husband had couple times with his health trouble , sat in the surgery once for 6 hours and then told there’s no appointment for him and sent him home. Other 2 times were over the phone asked for appointments and been told to wait for the ring back for appointments but never did. So completely got ignored.
I then asked 4 times over the receptionists and through ask my gp app that I needed help with my hay fever as I tried all the brand and hay fever relate active ingredients that are on the market. But no help. They push me to the pharmacy twice. Pharmacist said there are stronger antihistamines but they need doctor’s prescription. So I then went back to gp and told them what pharmacist told me. They replied me “ got misinformed by the pharmacist”and told me i can double does the antihistamine and it’s safe to do but off licence. That was when I came back from John Coupland hospital with stronger antihistamines prescription from the doctor there!!!!
The doctor in Cleveland surgery had no empathy nor work ethic. They should not be allow to make money from this job anymore. I will make my complain and report that surgery not just for me and for all of the poor patients has been mistreated in that hell hole

I keep trying to phone them to book an appointment and the phone line at their end just keeps beeping as if it's cut off. No automated message, no ringing, just beeping. This should NOT be happening! This is a disgrace, especially for something so vital like the NHS! How are people with no internet supposed to be able to book an appointment?! This is serious for people who have health conditions and have no internet! I have internet obviously but not everyone does and there are some people who do have internet but are best suited booking over the phone. The NHS is absolutely vital, there HAS to be a way for people to book offline!
