A very impressive response to my excruciating toothache. From Karen the receptionist to Aaron the dentist, and the dental nurse , whose name I don’t know - everyone was very professional, kind and concerned to help.
I was free from the rogue wisdom tooth the morning after I referred myself. Brilliant !

We recently transferred from another practice and the contrast couldn't be greater. Happy smiling faces greet you, appointments are available and, possibly most important of all, they are proactive in that they flag up things which might otherwise go unnoticed. Changing to this practice was the best thing we ever did!

Super thorough, very attentive, understanding, non-judgemental doctors -- some of the best I have ever had (of which I have had many, moving fairly often).
Have had issues looked into that other GPs have never thought to leading to some important diagnoses, and my complex health and symptoms are believed (not inappropriately questioned) and are handled with care and seriousness.
All staff I have spoken to or had appointments with have always been very friendly and helpful.
Have also never had to wait that long for appointments which is impressive.

Excellent GP Practice by today's standards. Most (not all) of the GPs are a very good standard and deal with patients in a caring and respectful way. The nurses, nurse practitioners and pharmacy staff, that I have had contact with have all been excellent in my view.

The staff are all very good, but the booking system is very poor indeed. If I need to make an appointment I am more times than not told to ring the following day at 8.30am. When I try to do so I am practically always told that I am caller number ... ( a very large number) or that my call will be answered in ...(another large number) of minutes. Only once in a period of years has my call been immediately answered. I understand that this is because people with smart phones set their phones to dial at exactly 8.30 am. This effectively prevents anyone without a smartphone from becoming part of the 'queue' until all of the preset alarm calls are answered. It should not be taken as read that everyone has a smartphone. Many people, especially older people, do not have one, and they are being made to hold on for often a very long time. This is particularly irritating when they have tried to book the day before all the smartphone callers and were effectively pushed to the back of the queue.

I have been very impressed with the service both from reception desk and Doctors.

Following an insect bite that became infected I contacted Claypath Medical Practice at 4.38pm for advice. In speaking to Lesley on reception, she recommended a consultation with a GP, but in the interim offered to send a secure link to allow me to upload pictures of the issue. At 5.10pm, I received the promised GP phone call, who having assessed the situation proscribed a "sporting dose" of antibiotics. He first checked if my local chemist was open and the electronically sent the prescription. Prescription was collected at 5.48pm. All done with 70 minutes. With now 3 lots of antibiotics in the system, there is already signs of improvement. The NHS and GPS do get a hard time, but Claypath Med. Practice always provide the best possible care and attention. Thank you Lesley and Dr Mason.
