Am I currently with the doctors, I have struggled to obtain an appointment I had to wait over a week for a phone call, I then called the next day to be told there is a problem with there line and they have tried to call but their calls ain’t going forward… nothing was suggested to try and correct or help with this problem and to try and call my midwife as I am 22 weeks pregnancy. Can’t get an appointment on the day they are always gone or have to go to Hertford and I can’t commute there.

Excellent treatment. If you need to be seen, telephone the surgery at 8am. You might have to wait though, so select call- back

I support the care of a patient Duncan Luff and want to thank you for your speed, empathy, care and efficiency in your handling of him as a patient. You do what you say you will and I really appreciate this. Simon

This used to be an excellent practice, sadly not now. Instead of seeing doctors you see paramedics, or health care assistants. I was misdiagnosed by a paramedic at the surgery which resulted in me being on totally inappropriate medication for over a year. I have since been diagnosed correctly with Chronic Cluster Headaches, or as they are known in the medical world, Suicide Headaches. The surgery has now refused to prescribe the only medication that gives me any relief from this horrendous condition. I have asked them to follow the NICE guidelines, but they refuse. After finishing writing this review I will be contacting NHS England.
Edit to say; Since I have posted this the surgery has now received the correct treatment plan from a neurologist. The same treatment plan I had been pushing for myself. Thankfully they have now done a complete about turn and prescribed the correct medication in the appropriate dosage. It's a shame it required so much hassle to get to this point.

Only reviewing the dial up service for same day appointments and not the overall experience. Feared the worst given other reviews but have no complaints today. Rang at 08:03, got through on the 4th ring. Asked for a same-day appointment, and was asked to explain why - so briefly described my deteriorating condition and was offered a noon appointment in Ware. Will add and edit once I've been seen.

Really poor practice. My elderly mother is a patient here and her needs are failing to be met on a basic level.

Since Church Street Surgery became New River Health the ability to get through on the phone has declined dramatically. When your turn comes then your call is ended and you have to start again. The doctors are great but something has gone wrong with the reception. I constantly have to go in to make appointments, I have been on hold for an hour this afternoon, call back at my GP’s request, and I’ve been hung up on when my turn twice. Awful customer service.

One of the receptionists on the phone is abrupt and rude, the moment she answers the phone. She told me "its easy to get repeat prescriptions online" (which is isnt). Then talked over me constantly when i tried to explain . If she doesnt like her job maybe some one who wants/needs a job should do it! The Doctors are nice enough but clearly do not have enough time.
