Came with my mum today and she unknowingly parked in a staff area since we were in a rush. After coming out of the appointment, in which the doctor was lovely, we found out that a staff member had not only blocked our car but two others despite there being an available space which was not taken the entire time she was there. By the way, the only available non staff parking is disabled, which we did not want to park in since we are not disabled. She then inquired with the staff who gave her little to no answers. After talking with the upstairs staff, a short fella who walked around as if he owned the place came up to us and feigned kindness came up to us and offered to help. As soon as we got outside, he began lecturing us as if we were school children about parking in a staff spot, A which we didn’t know about and B which my mum couldn’t have apologised enough for. My mum began to get very emotional very quickly, as she has recently lost her brother and escaped from an abusive relationship. I was also feeling a bit emotional, since I had just come out of a doctors appointment about my mental health. After at least 5 minutes of lectures from someone who looked to be a janitor, the staff member who’s place we had parked in and who had blocked us from leaving came out. My mum went to apologise, but before she could even get a word out, she was met with an equal amount of aggressiveness. She then drove off and the short man scurried back inside. I then had to console my mum as she is not used to so much conflict.
The doctor was lovely and thats the only reason why I will still reside at the practice.
