Registered yesterday as a holiday maker with my wife as we were feeling unwell, she received a prompt phone consultation and a prescription, my symptoms got worse today so I called to book a consultation and the receptionist who must have had full marks at obstruction training did not seem to care about the fact that I was unwell, only that yesterday’s receptionist should not have register us as holiday makers, she even consulted a senior doctor to confirm this, the time this took could have been better spent getting me a consultation. It is receptionists like this that give surgery’s a bad name, and doctors clearly support this behaviour, anything not to see patients, but still want you huge pay checks at the end of the month.
