I really do think this is one of the best GP there is. Once you've filled out your online form, then they really do get back to you with any appointment and the doctors are always lovely and get things done and I feel like they care for their patients.
Overall, I'm very happy with it.

TLDR: Fast, but unhelpful with many more complicated health issues. Did not believe someone's chronic pain, leading to their medical conditions to get much worse. Suddenly stopped doing shared care with private pyschiatrists. Do not seem to offer interim/bridging/etc prescriptions for people while they are waiting to be referred to a specialist.

Positives: They are relatively fast compared to other GPs I believe. E.G., I filled out a form at around 8-9am one day, got a call very soon after and was able to get an appointment at 11:20am THE SAME DAY! Previously, I also have not had to wait long for appointments at all. Usually I would get them within a week of requesting.
I have had similar experiences with them being speedier than other GPs. They seem to process information very fast. My prescription approvals happened fast and they respond to forms and phone calls quickly.
The people who work there are nice too. And the building is nice too, very clean and pleasant to be in.

Negatives:
The GPs seem to have a common problem of just not taking patients super seriously.
E.G., My mother has had intense, disabling back and neck pain for years. She has gone to Chessington Park Surgery for help SO MANY TIMES.
They just said it was because of stress. They did not believe her pain. They did not send her for x-rays, or tests or provide any follow up.
Turns out she has scoliosis and a herniated disc. Which she only found out because she didn't go to Chessington Park Surgery. She went for YEARS without help because of them, allowing her condition to get much, much worse.

For me, they greatly disrupted my quality of life by refusing to do shared care with a private pyschiatrist for a medication that I need to function in my daily life (I cannot do my job without this medication).
They used to do shared care, but they suddenly stopped it without indicating that they were doing to stop it. Was it too much work or something?
They will still do NHS psychiatrist shared care, and they did refer me for that but there's not way of knowing how long that will take.

They don't seem to be willing to offer any kind of interim/bridging/etc prescription for people while they are waiting to be referred to a specialist. I know that this is something that other GPs will do, so their patients quality of life is better while they suffer on horribly long NHS waiting lists.
They do not seem to care about harm reduction. I have been resorting to buying medication online in dangerous ways, which they do discourage but not in any meaningful way. The real way to stop those dangerous practices is to listen to what your patients need and don't assume that their problems are not real. That's how people die!

If this clinic is overwhelmed with work, perhaps it would be easier for them if they didn't refuse to prescribe so much medication and insisted of sending patients through awful waiting lists. If they say they can't, that is not true!
NHS regulations state that GPs are allowed to prescribe any medication that is necessary to optimise someone's health and life.

I'm just lucky I don't have severe medical problems. If you have had problems with GPs taking you seriously and believing that your health problems (whether physical or mental) are real, this is not the GP for you.

I feel when patient are given an appointment they should be informed who they are seeing, I send in a on line request to see a GP I was offered at appointment that day , I assumed it was with a GP. Because that is what I had asked for but when I arrive it was with the nurse practitioner . I also rung the surgery to confirm appointment saying I’m see a GP and I still wasn’t told it was with the nurse practitioner. I feel if a patient want to see a GP they should be able to

I have been coming here for the past two years and the nurses have always been outstanding!
I have also had a few interactions with reception, either in person or by phone, and they have always been very helpful and friendly.

Everyone I have encountered here has been brilliant especially given the pressure they are under with an underfunded health service.

Imagine how good it could be if the government actually funded it properly, and paid doctors and nurses correctly for their excellent work instead of forcing them to strike.
