This is my second review of Chelmer village opticians . I use this independent opticians for myself and my immediate family after seeing their posts on social media and wanting to support local businesses in the area .

I was so blown away by the amazing service that I passed on the details to my in laws as he was not happy with his current opticians . My father in law is not very tech savvy so he had asked me to leave a review for him .

He was very impressed with the friendly , helpful staff including the wonderful Ray . They welcomed him and my mother in law with a friendly smile as soon as they entered into the clinic ( which you don’t get everywhere ). They even asked them if they would like a drink . The optician was very prompt and informative, as my father in law has an extensive optical history with glaucoma and other issues. He gets nervous about this but he was made to feel at ease . He chose some wonderful glasses with the help of the staff and they did not take long to be ordered into store . All in all a great experience and now all our family members will be visiting Chelmer village opticians.

Best service received. Asked the very friendly and professional staff to put my lenses in a frame I purchased, and not only did they manage to do this rather tricky job (half frame, different size thread etc.) the very next day, but they also very kindly adjusted both my glasses for a perfect fit. Highly recommended, really great price and really professional and friendly people. I know where I am going to by my and my family's glasses from. Top job!

Absolutely fantastic. Been going to my previous opticians since I was 3 years old (30 years ago) and need a change due to moving areas. Ray was amazing nothing was too much trouble helping to sort my contact lenses and new glasses. Plus a big shout out to Jo for her wonderfully warm welcome every time I have visited.
Highly recommend and I won’t be going anywhere else.

I have had THE BEST customer service from Ray and his team.

Ray noticed me struggling with my switch between short and long sight and suggested trying some vari focal contact lenses.

He put me into the amazing hands of Ren. She was exceptional in her search for the perfect combination of lens for me.

The entire team are professional, so welcoming and above all super knowledgeable.

The service from the team at Chelmer Village is absolutely 5 star without a doubt. Everyone goes the extra mile. My son has dyslexia so has needed various tests, overlays, glasses etc. All has been delivered to a very high standard. If you are looking for an opticians look no further. We have to travel an hour to get here, but it is worth it, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks so much Chelmer Village team.
