This practice is extremely badly managed. Just a couple of examples: if one phones at 07.59 a.m. 'this pratice is closed', phone again at 08.00 a.m. and the line will engaged, and remain so pretty much all day. This has been so for years, but no steps have been taken to improve it, it seems 'your call really DOESN'T matter to us. If one visits, there will reception staff, all very good, except at answering the phone maybe... On my last visit the doctor (one of many - over the years I've never seen the same doctor twice) gave me a script for medication I needed urgently, saying I could collect it in 15 minutes from the pharmacy next door. So kicked my heels and waited, then went to collect to find they never heard of me or the script. Reception said, ah sorry, it's now sorted, just wait another 15 minutes and go back, which I did, to find they'd never heard of any such script. The same happened repeatedly until the pharmacy closed at 6 p.m. and I went home having wasted all that time with no script. And Castle Medical Group don't give a hoot. They make no attempt to improve whatsoever.

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. My 94 year old father is given excellent treatment. The receptionist, nurses, G.Ps are all very efficient and also very caring and kind.

If you have any thoughts of becoming a patient with this surgery, my advice would be 'DON'T'
Condescending receptionists, Doctor's who do not call you back when they say they would and, when you complain about these issues, you get an assistant practice manager who tries to fob you off.
Avoid this place at all costs, try Measham surgery, much better.

Never had a problem with doctors here until i was referred to a dermatologist about my skin, a week after the refferal, it was cancelled by my gp who had not seen me or confirmed this with me. I did not know until i called up asking if i have an appoitment yet after a month or two of waiting, meaning im now having to go private with my skin costing around £200-300 as it is just getting worse.

I had an appointment with Dr Liz on the 19th June. I found her to be condescending and dismissive. In fact she ignored a previous GPs findings. Having just read my notes on the NHS app she actually did not refer me as requested and agreed a d EVEN got the wrong shoulder!!! - it’s my left Dr Liz!!! Not my right!!!

If you want to make an appointment for the following day or on same day, good luck. I called for an appointment and the next available date they had was march 13th but I went to reception and told them I needed to see a doctor for my asthma. Also the doctors don't really care, the doctor I saw refused to put a repeat prescription in for an inhaler that I need.

If I could rate 0 stars I would they are extremely negligent and have poor service, I’ve only been with this doctors for 2 months and I will be moving to another doctors immediately in which I have never had to do before the lack of care at this practice is dangerous.
