I was admitted as an emergency to Ward 26 under the care of Professor A Clark and needed a procedure in the Cath Theatre.
I cannot praise the care of Professor Clark and his dedicated team highly enough. They are all true professionals and I am so grateful to them all. Ward 26 is extremely busy 24 / 7 and the staff work extremely hard to meet demands. I found the staff to be really kind and understanding. The food was good and the ward spotlessly clean.
When I went to Theatre I met a fabulous team of dedicated professionals who reassured and looked after me 100%. They explained what they needed to do and how they would do it.

I cannot Thank them enough for what they have done for me and I have no qualms about going into Castle Hill Cottingham again.

Always get great, friendly service. Staff right around the board have time for you. They listen and talk things through with you. Hospital is always exceptionally clean. I like the fact it is all on one level, makes getting around easier. Thank you for all you do.?

Terrible hospital!! Had a heart attack and was taken to Scarborough Hospital, Castle Hill said that they would only accept me if I can make my own way home!!, was moved from ward to ward then finally told I was going for a angiogram and dressed for surgery, I was left over 24 hours without anyone telling me they had changed their minds, not one doctor came to explain anything to me, I was treated like I was invisible. The final straw was when they moved a woman on the ward who had been in bed for over a week with flu and had a serious chest infection!! Putting 2 other heart patients, plus myself at risk!! I discharged myself!!

I had a rescheduled dental operation on Halloween which was everything that I could have hoped for. The worst side was waiting for the post operative antibiotics to come from pharmacy which didn't arrive until nearly six in the evening having had the operation in the morning. However I'm very pleased with the professional way that I was treated by the surgical team and the has been minimal nerve involvement which was a risk.

Caring and friendly staff. Very green and nice surroundings. Extra parking space for staff and visitors would really help as there are limited parking spaces available on site.

Had an op at the day surgery centre yesterday. Very clean, friendly staff couldn’t do more. Brand new building with lots of excellent new equipment. Beds were comfortable and most of the seats available in the waiting areas not bad either.
Of what I saw of the theatre (mostly the ceiling!) it was bright, spacious and well equipped. Staff explained everything throughout, thank you.

We have been here a few times lately. A big thanks to Mr Gunn for listening and helping my wife and actually carrying out what he says, and he is a brilliant person, the staff on ward 11 and also the other departments CT, radiology and Mri have all being nice, friendly and professional. I am so glad my wife has been getting her treatment here it's well worth travelling to. It's a very clean and tidy hospital with well kept gardens.
