Absolutely horrendous surgery, completely uncaring and unbothered receptionists and GPs, lack of any follow-up on issues. I would not recommend this surgery to anybody if you value your health.

I have been regularly messed around with prescriptions, I have been mocked by receptionists for my hearing difficulties, completely ignored on issues mentioned, feels like they are basically trying to get you to leave as soon as possible, presumably so they can get back to dossing around judging by 1 GP I saw in his office. Communication to patients is dire. Complaints procedure seems basically non-existent, and I have still been waiting 3 months for a follow-up to my complaint, after the first reply was basically ignoring every issue raised and inventing excuses for what happened, to the contrary of information provided to me by 2 separate sources (One of the nicer GPs working here, and my pharmacy).

Very happy with my care. Managed to see a GP last week at short notice and further appointment made for blood sample to be taken. On both counts the receptionists, GP and Nurse were helpful and patient. This I have to say was all better than trying to book online or by phone!
Well done those on Reception as you don't always have the most pleasant of people to deal with!!
Nurse who took my bloods was excellent, no bruising or discomfort and was professional throughout!

Hannah, the reception staff was incredibly helpful arranging appointment at short notice, with very good customer skills. Helen, the nurse who carried out investigations was extremely professional, but warm and carring, she managed to make me feel safe and trust her. Her enhanced knowledge in the gynecology area is very good and she signposted me and facilitated follow up with GP. Thank you! Despite traditional views and challenging matters, it could not be a more pleasant experience of attending medical practice today.

I just moved to Carlisle and I am amazed by the perfect care I received. I felt listened and the explanations I received were perfect. For the first time in my life it felt so good and easy to be in contact with a doctor. A big thank you to the amazing care of doctor Máiréad (I hope I am spelling it right) 🙂

Incredibly frustrating to deal with. Registered with them as new to the area, called to make an appointment for a depo shot which was due imminently. Told no appointments for the next 5 weeks (?!) but too early to make an appointment for them, and to ring back in 4 weeks. Rang back 4 weeks later, was told too late again!! Gave up for a while, rang about a week ago and finally managed an appointment for today. Made it very clear to the receptionist I spoke to that I hadn’t had a shot since November. Arrived this morning for my appointment, was told I was at the wrong surgery and that I “should have been told” - I wasn’t. Jogged 10 mins to the correct surgery, went in to see the nurse, and was told I couldn’t be given the shot because I need to see a GP!! But can I make an appointment while I’m here? Of course not - I have to come back at 8am Monday to make an appointment. Absolutely ludicrous. I have a job, I took time off this morning for my appointment, now need to take time off Monday to make ANOTHER appointment, and will then need to take MORE time off to actually go to that new appointment!!!! Total lack of competence or sense.

Didn't wait too long to see the nurse. Appointment was changed by myself and the receptionist was very helpful. Today, 31st of July I received a message from the Carlisle Central practise that I have not attended an appointment. I have looked at my calendar and found no appointments for today. I was given an appointment for blood pressure checks but changed this to Friday 26th of July through a phone to the practise. The original appointment was cancelled over the phone, so any missed appointment is not down to me missing any appointment.

Had an appointment at this practice today with the nurse. The place itself was very clean and spacious. Was in on time and the nurse was very friendly and efficient. I could not fault anything whatsoever.
