Had 18th birthday party here for the stepson. Very cheap to hire, staff are very friendly. Drinks are cheap and have a great selection and a very modern and well stocked, smart looking bar. Will definitely be back

The club can be a pain to get to without a car however it's a decent size. The bar offers a range of drinks and it's best to bring cash with you. It holds a variety of events too both supporting the community and it's runnings. Staff generally are friendly although can appear irritated at times. They have a car park to the back which is average in size but can get full on busy nights. Better for locals and people who want to invest in the club, not as welcoming for outsiders which I suppose is an expectation for all community clubs. Worth a visit if you have a reason to go there.

Car parking outside. Bar area and bar games and outside area. There is a dance floor inside.Bookable for parties. Not ideal if using a wheelchair as some steps inside.

This is a real gem of a facility in the Camphill area of Newport. The main hall is a great size and very reasonably priced to hire compared to other halls in Newport. There are many other facilities at the club too including a bowls green, meeting spaces, a bar, pool tables and a football pitch I believe. Very spacious outdoor seating areas too.
The place is run by volunteers so you have to learn when us best to contact them (usually between 6 and 9pm in the evening) but they are very good at returning calls when you leave a message.
They have a private members club license for their bar, this means that everyone who visitors the premises needs to either become a member of the club or be signed in as a guest by a member. While this seems bureaucratic it is the law and they could lose their alcohol license if they didn't follow the rules.
Membership is very inexpensive and good value though at £2.50 / quarter or £10 / year (prices correct 2018 although maybe increased slightly in 2019).

This is a lovely community run club, fab atmosphere and friendly staff.
With a good selection of drinks .
If you need a venue for a party or function, this is a perfect venue.
