I have been a patient at this surgery for around 40 years, it has had some ups and downs over the years, but currently I feel this practice is operating better than it ever has. I have been cared for very well recently, some of which could be put down to a new management team but also much improved procedures since introducing the total triage system. Praise well earned

So far, so good. Really helpful staff and medics, on site pharmacy which is really handy.
Had an initial minor issue when transferring in, but repeat scripts are now sorted and appointment availability seems very good.

The practice is a shambles for generic GP appointments. There just doesn't seem to be any availability.
That said, it's not just a Cambridge Ave problem- the GPs everywhere are inundated.
However, I had caused to need to see the nursing team recently with a very specific wound and infection issue.
I had already documented the issue with photos and was able to contact the Surgery and submit these - VERY simply.
This resulted in a speedy appointment arranged by them calling me and ongoing 3 x weekly visits booked well in advance with the again inundated nursing team.
6 weeks of appointments pretty much booked in one go - around my work commitments. I DID have to see someone regularly though and the surgery recognized and facilitated this.

The problems seem feel worse if you try and call the surgery. Plainly they're not geared up for call taking at a fast pace.
I generally use the "submit a new problem" part of the website and await the call back.

Usually it comes same day and has at least been read by a healthcare professional of some level rather than me ending up getting frustrated with a receptionist.

I really don't understand the negative comments that people post. If I have a problem I just join the queue and and speak to the friendly and helpful receptionist and a doctor or nurse always rings me the same day, I think the service is second to none and they really do try their best, I wouldn't change my Doctor's for anything.

I was referred to a first contact physio here through my GP for my knee pain and was running late for my appointment so I rang the surgery 3 times - each time I got “User Busy”. I eventually got to the surgery and explained and apologised to the receptionist that I was meant to see the physio at 4pm but I was stuck in traffic. She just told me that the physio was “packing up and going” as I was late and that I would have to rebook through my GP. She could clearly see I was in a lot of pain and didn’t try to help me book another appointment. I asked if she could give me any advice on how to deal with the pain and simply got a shrug. At this point I said “thanks for your help” and walked out. Have never been to this surgery and will never go again.

This has to be the most unorganized medical practice in North Lincolnshire.
Patronising, long winded solutions and telephone manners of people who hate patients. The systems in place for appointments do not work, ask your patients for god's sake. Nobody likes it! Awful management. Sent a link for making appointments only to be told 2 weeks later that I shouldnt use that as hasn't worked since COVID. Then a very patronising woman tries to tell me how websites work in a condescending voice. Utterly unprofessional and I will be complaining in person. If you don't like people, don't work there.

During lockdown, my care was 5 star rated. However, I do understand that staffing isn't perfect, but since lockdown has finished, and their expansion, I think the caring family touch, has completely disappeared.
Tomorrow the receptionist can see some free appointments, but she can't give them out, until tomorrow, when by 8.01 am they'll have all disappeared.
Personally I've only given 2 stars due to the exceptional treatment we used to get. Now you're lucky to get an appointment for next month. Such a shame, as it used to be a wonderful practice, with Dr's that knew you, now there is no continuity of care.
Dr Rachel i can't fault ,however she's on maternity leave. Since then it's a string of different Dr's, that rush you during a phone consultation. Poor, is the only rating I can give it now, however should it improve I will amend my review.
Also, if your ringing and press 2 for results, you speak to the same person, as you do if you press 3 for enquiries, as the receptionist told me, last time to hang up, press 2, then told me ,when I said I've just spoken to you , that she answered both lines 😳 I kid you not 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

This used to be a fabulous gp surgery but post covid,I don't know what's happened. I can't get a face to face never mind a telephone appointment with the gp. Having to wait 3weeks just to get a telephone appointment is ridiculous. All the new extension that has just been built...why? What for? Every time I have popped into the chemist there is hardly anyone in the waiting area in the surgery. The receptionists do their best but when the service isn't there they are 1st port of call&get all the flack. I hope all the surgery partners look at these reviews as they need to change their duty of care to their patients.
