Receptionists always have an attitude. For every time I've called up I've not been taken seriously. First incident was knowing I had tonsillitis and was dismissed with a sore throat until I finally got a second opinion on which the other doctor told me I need antibiotics. Second time was needing an emergency appointment with a doctor due to sitting on what i thought to be a common cold for 4 weeks solid until I went grey and felt very faint. Was almost denied it by the receptionist until a doctor finally deemed my symptoms urgent enough for one to find my heart rate was 125bpm resting and a very high temperature and finally once again given antibiotics. This time it's to sort my thyroid levels in which again I am being ignored and denied being seen. The doctors mostly are great but the receptionists are awful and I'm wasting A&Es time because you won't see me until it gets serious that I need to go to a hospital. Absolute negligence and I can understand if I was their weekly but I hardly call as a result of being belittled and mocked on the phone for every time I make an appointment. Sort it out!!!

Went in for a blood pressure check as it was advised to me by another nurse who noticed a spike in my blood. I was called in to get it checked by this nurse ( if you can call her that), I felt like she wasn't bothered, she checked it and bluntly went it's fine and I felt dismissed. She didn't bother giving me advice after I told her I was under alot of stress and she just basically shrugged her shoulders, no consolation no advice to lower my stress just felt like basically get out. I'm thinking of moving to another GP with professional and friendly staff if Burnley wood doesn't start changing their attitude.

Worst medical centre ever, the receptionist have a severe attitude problem can't even be bothered to help you out unless it suits them, if you don't want to do the job then leave. but once you get past the witches the doctors are ok. Disgusting how they treat people with mental health issues, the receptionist needs to go on a refresher course on how to handle patients properly like dealing with teenagers at best.

The worst most unpleasant experience ever.
The reception and doctors male you feel as though you would rather suffer than ring a doctor. When the tax payer pays the public sector wages but yet the make you feel like this!

Disgraceful receptionists. Rude, talk over you and don’t even attempt to ring after 4pm, they’ve always logged off their systems. I called 3 days in a row trying to be seen by a doctor or a nurse (and I’m not somebody who goes to the doctors a lot) and on the third day was talked over by a receptionist who kept telling me to go to urgent care because they’re short of consultants at the moment. I have been with this surgery since I was a child and Dr. Crumbleholme was there. It’s gone downhill so fast and there is no care there whatsoever for patients. I think it would be worth the doctors or authorities listening in to some of the calls to really understand how their receptionists are speaking to people and fobbing them off without understanding what it is they need. The NHS is broken and this surgery is the perfect example of that. The receptionist’s need a rocket up them and much more training.

Very rude receptionists, it puts you off ringing up because of how awful the receptionist are!!! Think they could do with remembering that when people ring up they are feeling vulnerable!! They are the worst at dealing with mental health issues, just pass you a leaflet and send you on the way!!! And it's literally a begging mission to get an appointment! Awful doctors surgery and I will be moving!! Hopefuly the receptionist and some of the doctors do a course in people skills because they certainly need it.

absolutely awful if i could give 0 stars i would. the staff on front desk don't seem to understand basic decency let alone how the NHS administrative system works.
Deedpolls are legal and one is not legally allowed to continue use of the old name, so explain to me how the staff here seem to think theyre above the law and would rather one commits identity fraud in the name of laziness.
If you cant be bothered to help patients then might i suggest a career change, your ego is interfering with the health and well being of vulnerable people.
