I have got to give a big thank you to all the staff at BGH. I was in for a minor opp at the Elective Centre next building to the Urgent Care Centre and you can use the drop off parking here too get easy access, found this out yesterday. From being booked in to having the procedure you were well looked after and cared for, nothing was too much trouble and I really appreciate all the hard work they did while I was there. A special ✨️ Thanks to the Asian Nurse who looked after me and even after a 12 hour shift was still smiling ? and walked ?‍♂️ me to my car when I was allowed to go home ?. Every little thing you can do for the Nurses makes there shift that much easier. May God Bless You All ?.

Garbage the booking centre purposely rearrange appointments so that i can not attend as they know the times i can and can not attend due to needing care, I've had various problems for 4 years now and still suffer in agony every day. Complaints have been submitted numerous times and the pals dept never return calls or if they do they take a run down of complaint then never heard from again. General surgery is a joke as they want a pre theatre appointment done then take that long to give a surgery date the pre theatre test need doing again which they try to do over the phone ..........not sure my phone can test mrsa and take bloods Incompetent from the bottom to the top !

This is a review for the pharmacy as they don’t have their own page. If you cannot handle the capability of looking after a handful of patients prescriptions maybe consider hiring more staff! Or the hospital needs to allow other pharmacy’s to be able to collect prescription as the hospital pharmacy is an absolute joke.

You guys might want to sit on your backsides for a long time and do everything slowly but people have things to do then sit and wait an hour for a prescription. Hire more people.

A very big thank you to the nurses and the team in Endoscopy Unit 2. I had an endoscopy here and they made me feel really welcome and comfortable during my entire procedure.
This was especially after anxieties and a previous failed procedure.
Thank you so much to Priyanka, Momeena, Jo and the rest of the team.
Thank you ?

(also a note to other 1* reviews who couldn't find the correct ward. Is it really the hospital's fault that you can't follow signs? And the bloke who needed an ATM at the hospital. It's a hospital sir and not a supermarket...)

Thank you everyone at the hospital.

Can never fault the staff dedication and service, the problems are due to the transfer and downgrade of the hospital. Blackburn General is a mess whilst Burnley with its limited resources does tremendous. I was seen to quickly, although there are people waiting long hours with complex needs which the hospital cannot handle. The service I received was excellent with full explanation of what was happening at each stage. The nurses were great and it's a fault of the NHS trust managers whom have closed many community based hospitals that lead to the issues faced by emergency care. But Burnley is not an emergency department it's more for broken bones and cuts, other complications they do not have the scanners and equipment to deal with. So very sad this situation. The Population needs an emergency care hospital and Burnley is perfect for that.

Had 2 girls Birthed there, nurses dont listen to you at all, i had one Baby in a different city and compared to them here they think they know best being professionals. And in the end what i said was the reason for my delay in delivering. I hope I dont give birth here again. I dont like their work ethic at all. Very dismissive.

This hospital is an absolute joke. My two years old was missdiangosed and given wrong medication, on the top of that we were sent home twice... Even tho his heart rate was nearly 200! Which means his heart could stop at any minute or he could have get sepsis! Thanks god we went to Blackburn just in time and those amazing doctors saved our sons life. I hope those doctors which sent us home will loose their licenses...
