Reception team are very unprofessional and clearly not trained. When you ask for a GP appointment and are told yes GP booked today ect ect and then when asked “is it a GP “ well no it’s a physician associate…. Then that’s not a GP and it’s unlawful to to tell me it’s a GP when it’s not ! ( they can’t prescribe ) …. So cross today …. Manager needs sacking in my opinion as she has clearly not ensured that her staff are trained ! Avoid this surgery at all costs.

Been with this practice since the 1980s , if you want to see a doctor look elsewhere , this last visit was with a nurse , un-beknown to me , and fobbed off with bullshit . I see reviews about the receptionists in the negative but for myself , I have never had anything but the best respect from them ( I would tell them otherwise ).

This place is not made for people but for animals or maybe not even that as I am sure they have more integrity and empathy than this receptionists.

Waited over 45 min to talk to someone that literally don’t care about any of our situation / circumstances, I assume they can take only 30 patience per day in a recent build surgery.

To all new patience that are looking for a place to be seen by doctors id strongly suggest to look for another practice if you want to be treated.

Horrible doctors been with them for a while use to be decent before pandemic but recently I had to book my medcation early due to a holiday and I told them about it nothing was wrong last medcation I booked the same week they were due because they were due on a Saturday so I didn't see anything wrong with it but my chemist seemed to have a problem and call my gp at burleigh and I got a Horrible message saying they are going to monitor My medication booking and they also took half of my medcation from me when it's their due of care for patients to speak directly and not pull half their medcation they need daily which I've looked into is very very wrong in them and as for the rest of the message I got they said if I continue to "order early" they would remove me from their list and I'd have to find a new doctors which is terrible service if I order too early which I've accidentally done in the past they would have told me but not once have they said anything till now but why did they send it through and blame me but they never own up for their mistakes so I wouldn't recommend this doctors to ANYONE!!!!

Since the Pandemic the level of service has dropped from decent to abysmal. Decided to close Roundhouse even though its inconvenienced thousands. Reception staff are abrupt and rude. Can't get an appointment for love nor money and all prescriptions and medication are now dealt with by someone else. What do they actually do there? Seriously looking and moving elsewhere

Ladies from reception are more prepared to tell you what you need and what to do than a doctor , she decide if you need face 2 face or telephone appointment. I had a scan 1 yr ago and when i call she said it's everything ok and last month my GP said my liver it's not ok. I think you should pay them minimum wage and put them in the doctor cabinet because they know better than a doctor what to do.

The System of only being able to make face-to-face or telephone appointments for the same day instead of ringing in advance for a later date is extremely problematic. Patients want to be out at ease at the prospect of being able to see a doctor even if it’s a few days or a week away. Having this system where if you ring past 8:30 in the morning you are unlikely to be seen at all is disappointing and reflection needs to be made on this. When you look at the contrast between this and other GP services where appointments are very flexible and patients have the ability to arrange these with no issue of same day appointments being needed or having to wake up at the crack of dawn to even have a chance. Sometimes even when I have rang up myself at the required time to ring I still have been denied due to a full waiting list or not getting through to a receptionist due to the influx of calls at a single time. In result of this sometimes going to A&E and waiting for hours on end seems to be a more appealing circumstance to be in. At least then I can be guaranteed to see a doctor at all. A better more flexible system needs to be in place for Barnsley residents.

What a waste of time, not seen a GP or practitioner face to face since 2019, I’ve got a few conditions that need monitoring and regular medication. Needed thyroid tablets was told by 1 “no further action” but you can’t just stop taking them, receptionist knew that & spoke to another GP. We don’t live in town so to get there & back would be a taxi…that’s if you could see someone, they’ve closed our local surgery. Rang every day this week to speak to a GP, no luck! I’m at the point of changing surgery. Don’t take on more patients if you can’t see the ones you already have…it’s not rocket science.
