I can't help but think that the negative reviews here would be better aimed at the government and the lack of funding for this type of service. My child started severely self harming at 12 and tried to take their own life at 13. The shock, pain and trauma that was suffered by the whole family is beyond words. Without the help and support of Shamim and Perran I do not know how we would have coped. The help that my child and us as parents were given has literally been life changing and none of us would have got through it without them. It has been a long journey and whilst the memories and fear will never go away and mental health problems don't just disappear, the proudness we feel as our child prepares for university to study psychology of all things is immense! Thank you Shamim and Perran and up yours to the bullies and social media. Good people will always shine on.

The published waiting times are not true, my son is prone to violent and self harm episodes that threatens his whole family, and we have been waiting nearly 2 years for treatment. It's bad enough to have to wait this time, but then to see them lying on their website is just putting salt in the wound.

Awful service. Have tried several times to get s referral as recommended by Great Ormond St hospital. Several times his referral has been rejected. Saying child does not meet the threshold for their service, despite child presenting why serious mental health difficulties and a diagnosed neurological condition that results in self injury, anxiety and poor impulse control. if this does not meet threshold for CAMHS intervention I do not know what would! From the sounds of below its unlikely they would be much help either if he did meet threshold. Either way when they discharged him they refuse to signpost or refer him to anywhere else. Shocking and disgraceful. Poor child can't even get on the list and he cant get referred to any other servjce such as neurologist or educational psychologist without CAMHS or GP involvement. All of which , along with paediatrician are washing their hands of this poor child.

We find the doctors so far to lack empathy and have their own agenda rather than try to help our son who has severe disabilities. The wait was very long and we have not been able to hold much confidence in them.

If you can, don't waste yours and your child time. Look for help somewhere else.
It's too painful to describe the hopes that we had for that place, the therapy does not exists there. Unprofessional and hopeless

I have been part of the mental health team in bromley for a while. My care co-ordinator was useless. She would shout at my wife down the phone. She made things up and didn't bother. LAZY LAZY LAZY!!!!
