I have reported this practice to the Ombudsman for what I regard as negligence and mal-practice, I urge other dis-satisfied patients to do the same until something gets done. In my opinion the management only have 1 concern which is profit and will not employ more people to handle Anima or answer the phone. It seems they could not care less about patient welfare which in my opinion should be the main focus of any surgery.

Hundreds of people including myself and my family are unable to book appointments through Anima which is either unavailable to take bookings for most of each day, or when you do submit a request it gets ignored for weeks on end, or the request gets marked as "closed" when it's not meaning yet another request needs to go in. Since 5th November 2024 (it's now 23rd November 2024) I have submitted 3 requests over an 18 day period for my wife's severe stomach issue and still haven't been given an appointment.

The "phone answering service" they have is just as bad. Good luck in getting through in under 1 hour and when you do they just want to push you onto Anima as it's cheaper for them to force people online than to employ another 1-3 receptionists who will take calls

The welfare and health of patients, both physically and mentally is being neglected and disregarded due to slack, incompetent, uncompassionate management who couldn't give a damn.

It's about time this practice was investigated and punished for the lack of care and harm they have caused and continues to cause to the local community who are dependent and reliant on its services. Many other 1 star reviews will corroborate what I am saying

People's health and lives are on the line. This is not a business - it's public health.

I had to register here because my previous surgery changed its catchment area.
This practice is diabolical. Any appointment involves a triage where you’re expected to be able to take a phone call anytime between 9 and 5.30. You can only submit a prescription request at certain times. Try another practice, even if it means moving house.

On the phone for over an hour to speak to someone to book an appointment-ended up just hanging up. Tried to register online and despite given all the required information it said It couldn't complete application and a GP would finish it and contact me.....that was over a week ago!! I've subsequently joined a different practice. Absolute joke.

This has got to be the worst doctors surgery going. Recently moved to a state of the art building but you still cannot speak to anyone on the phone. It just rings and rings with no answer. I dread to think how vulnerable people manage this surgery. All you ever get is do it online and then it says you can only do stuff between certain times. An absolute shambles all round!

Get a different surgery if you can. They took 1/2 hour just to answer the phone as their new anima online appointments doesn’t work. Then told to go private by a very rude receptionist as they couldn’t fit me in for injections for a holiday in 3 weeks time. I am sure they think they are doing a good job, they just need to take a look at the rest of the reviews. Absolute shambles of an organisation.

An hour to answer a telephone call? My wife phoned her GP after switching from Valens and answered in 15 minutes.
Spoke to receptionist, told to go to Wansbeck hospital!
I have had invites for the Well man clinic via email, go on the site to be told they have no appointments available.
I have not seen a GP for over two years!

Literally the worst surgery ever to deal with - impossible to contact by telephone - the app takes two days to get a response (and you can only submit requests at certain times - why cant you submit one at any time ?) then when you get a response they haven't took notice of the content of your request. Laughable that the recorded message guides most towards the easy to use app (easy my foot) to ensure vulnerable patients can get through, yet the line just rings out once you are apparently put through. shambolic

Tried several times to book an appointment via Systmonline, Anima and Airmid but can only get the date block already populated and the message no appointments available in that period. Can't change the dates and when I rang up the recorded message tells me to book online and I can't walk in now as the surgery has moved so far away. They asked me to make an appointment but that doesn't seem possible! Thought the new venue might improve things but it seems not.
