Go to your GP/pharmacy and get your own numbing gel/spray if you are going for an IUD coil insertion.
You will need it for the anterior clasp and tugging when they use the tenaculum forceps during the procedure.
No consideration for pain and known previous traumas.
I do agree with the judgemental review someone left.

As always people on the phone are quite rude and unhelpful. She couldn't get me an appointment so said I should try online (not sure why I would have more luck than someone who works for them) registered online to book lo and behold can't book for the service I need online.

Called iCash for an appointment to get my IUD removed and as Norwich (my area) was full, I was able to get an appointment here within just a few days of calling.

The 2 women on reception were nice and I was seen around 5-10 mins past my appointment time which was fine with me.

The woman who removed my IUD was incredibly thorough with her questions, which I found to be great as I'd not had anything like this prior. She actually informed me that I shouldn't be on any combination (evra patch, combined pill) as it's unsuitable for me and could be increasing my chance of heart attack by 4!!

She gave me information on alternative methods I can use which I've now started and am pleased with 🙂
