Had blood tests done proving that I have very low testosterone (peri menopause) and had been experiencing awful, worsening symptoms because of it for over 2years now.

Their apparent menopause specialist tried to tell me women don’t produce testosterone, that is completely false as we do produce it in our ovaries, it’s basic biology and it’s extremely concerning that an apparent menopause specialist doesn’t know this‍♀️

She said they do prescribe testosterone to women in certain cases but do it reluctantly due to it not being licensed on the NHS.
But refused to prescribe something my blood tests & symptoms show I needed due to her own personal opinion.

I practically begged for help but she refused to help me. Said I’d have to go private (even though as a tax payer I’m already paying for her to help me)
Would not give me any other treatment options, no advice, no help, just left to live in a debilitating and worsening state.

Do not waste your time coming here for any peri menopause help, they don’t care and won’t help no matter how badly your life is impacted by debilitating symptoms because their personal opinion, and lack of knowledge about simple biology trumps your health ‍♀️

I have been in pain since Thursday, but hope I would be better over the weekend. I rang on Monday morning and managed to see Doctor Deacon the same day. I was treated with the utmost curtesy especially since I was terribly anxious.

My husband and I have been with Brannams and the same Doctor (Matthews) at least 10 years. We have never been refused an appointment, either face to face or call back. On occasions we have had to see or speak to other Doctors and whilst they cannot perform miracles, they have prescribed or done whatever it takes to help us.
My husband suffered a stroke earlier this year and Dr Matthews has been so supportive in making things happen that might ordinarily take weeks or months to get sorted.
We have found the Receptionists to be nice to speak to and as helpful as they can when appointments arent available when we want them.

The staff at Brannams Medical Centre were absolutely FANTASTIC.
We have heard many stories of not being able to see your GP, and I am guilty of saying similar things.

However, when I needed their help, they acted very quickly and in a professional manner.

I like to consider a fairly active and healthy person, so fortunately do not get ill often.
Unfortunately at the beginning of the month, I contracted Flu, which after 2 weeks of trying to let the body sort itself at, only made matters worse and it greatly effected my breathing, too the point, that walking upstairs, would make me extremely breathless, resulting in coughing spasms.

I contacted the surgery and made a telephone appointment with the duty doctor. They called me back and placed me on a 5 day course of antibiotics.

Sadly, they didn't help and my breathing got worse, so I spoke with the reception staff. Who on hearing me struggling to breathe and talk. Immediately put me through to my Doctor (Dr Parkinson).

She was brilliant and made an appointment for me to come to the surgery straight away.

I was seen very quickly by Andrea ( Advanced Nurse Practitioner)
Who was brilliant and quickly put my mine at ease.

After examination, she prescribed me a further course of antibiotics and Steroids.

I am now feeling much better, but Dr Parkinson has arranged to give me a further examination next week, too make sure that I am well enough to return back to.

So, I would like to say a BIG thank you to all the staff for all their help and support.

We’re in difficult times right now with our national health system. I know sometimes it’s not our GP’s fault and they are only doing what their higher up’s are telling them. I feel sorry for this GP unit as they are so overloaded and it makes things difficult for everyone. It’s definitely showing recently with issues going on with lack of communication, a key part in any organisation. I just hope things can get better from government or else it won’t just be this medical center that needs help…

My Partner received a Covid Jab, but started developing heart palpitations - which we later find out are clear symptoms of having an adverse affect from the so called vaccine.

My partner went in to see the. doctor to explaining her symptoms to raise her concern about having a 2nd injection.

The doctor denied that she was experiencing symptoms, and insisted the vaccine is safe, even though she fealt ill.

As a result, she was told that she would have to take the 2nd injection - if she was to qualify for sick leave - as the doctor would not state that she was experiencing negative effects for the vaccine.

We now know that she was suffering from early stage Myocarditis which the doctor ignored.

It is clear that the doctors at this surgery ignored the Hippocratic oath and worked against the interest of their patience to by pushing injections on people, when its clear that the MRNA injection did not prevent the spread of the virus.

We know doctors where getting paid for every injection they administered - so I think the financial incentives were put before human lives.

I hope your doctors are hanging their heads in shame... but i some how doubt it.

Dr Marquiss is one of the finest GP's I have had the pleasure of meeting during my 59 years . She is personable, caring and sincere and makes you feel that she understands. She is proactive, gets things done and when you leave her surgery, you have a bounce in your step, feeling that she is going to do all she possibly can to help you. She is a wonderful asset to the surgery.
