Really impressed with this surgery. I’ve only been registered a few months but the receptionists have been fantastic each time I phoned and the Dr I had an appointment with but unfortunately missed left me such a lovely, empathetic voicemail. Very happy so far.

Since the merge with Wetherby (supposedly to improve service) it has been even worse to get an appointment. I was caller 3 for over 40 mins with no movement, i gave up and drove to the surgery to make an appointment. Two other separate times I've had the same experience even when caller 1 in queue its a long wait. Trying to get an urgent appointment for my daughter and none available, so having to wait another day to try again. Awful!

Clinical care is first class. Problems exist due to internal processes which are a farce. An example of this would be repeat prescriptions. Reception staff are not aware of the new process involved. I spent 4 hours trying to get a prescription by the new email system. After six hours l gave up.
It’s important that when change occurs, that the change is clearly communicated and understood throughout the organisation.
I speak as an ex senior manager in the NHS.
The Assistant Practice Manager (Natalie Dolecki) is rude, arrogant and unhelpful. She needs to attend an emotional intelligence course, and learn effective communication skills which are totally lacking. An embarrassment to the practice.

Worst surgery ever experienced. The waiting time to get through is quite unbelievable. On hold for an hour is not acceptable at all. You need to book the day off work to get through! Then to be offered appointments that are weeks away. The surgery is attached to south Milford and it’s really poor how it’s run. The drs are decent enough. But it doesn’t fulfil the village needs. The staff in bramham reception have never been very friendly either making it an unpleasant experience

I have been a patient at Bramham Medical Centre choosing to stay with them even when I moved to York! Great staff amazing levels of care and you can actually call them and if urgent get an appointment or telephone triage usually on the same day. They remained accessible throughout the pandemic. The staff are helpful and the medical team including nurses and nurse practitioner are outstanding.
I wrote this post after hearing many people criticising their doctors and thought that’s not my experience:)

Very unfriendly receptionist. I have a friend who is very ill but the doctors just don't seem to care. I appreciate the NHS is crumbling but surely the life of a patient is important. The service she gets from them is very poor.

Having had to contact the practice at the beginning of June with a stomach issue I found that the practice staff dealt with the issue very promptly and I was amazed how quickly they managed to get me the urgent treatment I needed. Having dealt with this practice for many many years I have never found any reason but to praise them all for the professionals that they are when they have dealt with myself and my families health issues. During the many issues that the practice staff must have had to deal with during the ongoing pandemic I have always found that I was able to either get a phone appointment and if needed a visit to the practice with ease. The reception staff are always pleasant and polite and the doctors and nurses very understanding. I am sure we will continue to use this practice for many years to come.

I’ve had to use the surgery more than I’d have hoped recently but I couldn’t be more grateful. I’ve been able to get an appointment or advice when needed, either on the phone or via the online advice. Dr Filak in particular has been very helpful and understanding, and I’m also aware Dr McGregor has also had an input. Thanks to the wider team in general too and keep up the good work.
