I unfortunately had to stay on ward 23 for 16 days whilst I was extremely poorly. Some or most of the staff were quite rude or abrupt the younger generation staff were amazing and did everything to help us. I know I was a difficult patient but they health with it perfectly.
I was let home then admitted into ward 5 this ward was like a completely different hospital all the staff were amazing (well 1 wasn't she had a bad attitude problem and no compassion for patients ) the wing sister Claire is absolutely amazing she helped make my stay bareable. The whole hospital need to watch what they do it on ward 5 and implement it throughout.
Side note the whole hospital need a multi.illion pound revamp and extra security to keep the strange people out who just wander the corridors at all times of day and night

Third time in here and had the worst experience, my cousin was stabbed with a knife and they kept him in waiting area while he was bleeding until he passed out. Then they came and took him to A&E on a trolly.
My immune system is not functioning well and I asked the receptionist to put me in a separate area I’m a priority patient, but she was rude with me and shouted at me and said you can stand next to toilet until you’ve been called.
And the hospital is so dirty as well
Isn’t it beautiful?
Speak to funeral services before you come here.
I had not the same experience at Airedale
Hospital.

Late to write this review but I would not recommend giving birth at this hospital if you value your child’s life or your own. They thought it was ok to tell my sister to push before 10cm and before she even had the urge to, I understand it was a worrying situation as is but instead of deciding to opt for a c section (presumably so their rate of c sections is kept low) they decided to put my nephew and sisters lives in danger? My nephew got stuck. My sisters cervix tore. Both their heart rates dropped and she had to have an EMERGENCY c section! My sister told me her chest hurt so much she thought she was going to die.

nevermind the fact that then when my nephew was 2 months old, x raying him MULTIPLE times at the adults level of radiation!!! and telling my sister not to worry because “he doesn’t seem like the sort who’ll need a lot of X-rays in his life so shouldn’t affect him too much” he wasn’t in for a broken limb, he was in for breathing problems which if it does become a persistent issue he will need more throughout his life! They said they would have an internal investigation and never got in touch with my sister again after it. Absolutely disgusting hospital with complete lack of regard for the welfare of their patients.

10 hour A&E wait on a Thursday. Admitted by ambulance at 2am and didn't get seen until 12pm. Between then a couple visits to check my blood pressure and offering complimentary snacks. People of all ages suffering in the waiting room and left to deal with it because they only have one Doctor to take care of 70 patients including I that night, I was informed from 8am more Doctors will arrive. That's not good enough! When you finally do see the Doctor, of course, they are fantastic.

Sat waiting in Ambulatory emergency care unit after arriving over 2 hours ago. Son was seen by the nurse and told he would need bloods and they would contact a ward to see if they wanted to see him. However he was sent down to the AECU and has waited over 2 hours for bloods to be done now has to wait a min of 2 hours for results. And still hasn't seen a doctor yet!

My friend went to BRI after a day care operation. Oh my god! Do not attend this hospital. Especially ward 5 or Cooper lane surgery. Go private! Pay for surgery or don’t have it is my advice. Talk about unprofessional my friend was left in absolute agony after his operation. The consultants didn’t seem to care. We ended up going to A&E in Leeds. Another consultant gave a completely different diagnosis. How is this? And they were very really helpful in comparison. My advice say away from Bradford hospitals if you can especially BRI and ward 5.

Terrible experience. Brought in by ambulance and had to stay overnight. Terrible waiting times up to 15 hours and more, on top total inefficiency and no empathy by most of staff. For instance, they forgot to take my last blood test which meant I would have had to wait another 7 or so hours. They just laughed it off. It was a 2 minute job and I saw nurses chilling on their phones etc. I ended up just leaving without it done. They said they wouldn't send it to my GP instead, which was stupid. I felt most staff talked down on me as well. Another thing on top of my head is I told a few nurses that my cannula was getting painful, I wasn't on a drip at that time and it was getting very loose and felt like it was burning. I didn't need to have it in at that point and wouldn't need it again. They just brushed it off and walked off and didn't care and wouldn't take it out. It took more pestering for one of the nurses to finally relent and take it out. Otherwise it would have stayed in my hand for hours being extremely painful! Awful horrible place.

My friend arrived at this hospital via ambulance after taking too many of something they weren't supposed too. She waited in the sitting room for 6 hours before only just now getting an IV. For all they knew, she could've been severely unwell and they've just neglected her in there. The lack of urgency is disgusting. Do better.
