I'll be very honest, I haven't always had the best experience here over the years but I have witnessed a huge improvement since Dr Eggleton took over. The new doctors are incredible and the pharmacy even has a card machine now. That last part might sound trivial but it makes life so much easier. It really feels like Bow is a patient centric practice.

I have never been let down by this practice although I understand Dr Bower has retired. He always gave 110% care and attention - even once seeing me out to my car. Very satisfied. The Nurses are very kind and put up with my terror at blood tests. Reception at Bow are helpful and Aaron is particularly kind helping me with heavy doors. Thank you Aaron.

Excellent practice - you get a call back same day if you use the online service and a same day appointment if needed. The doctors are excellent and genuinely care, and take the time to get to know patients needs. Highly recommended. We are so lucky to have such a good NHS practice!

try phoning and you will be told to use the online consultation service. why can’t they just help you there and then? i have used the online service to ask for sick notes and medication and it feels like most of the time my requests are ignored, so i have to keep hassling them to get the service i need. Very frustrating. Plus the pharmacy phone line is only open until noon which is basically useless. however the face to face appointments with certain doctors are good.

At first I thought this practice just lovely having seen the paramedic and Dr Bower. Thank you to both.
Recently I had a fall onto my back. After an xray I was told I had broken a vertebrae. I was sent home to await a M RI and instructed to request some strong painkillers from my surgery.
As I was in agony I did an online request immediately.
Evidently Dr Ewings? Could not get through to me and asked for another number ( odd as everyone else trying to call me did!). This was phoned in 3 times on a friday evening. Phoning is a total bore as the pre recorded introduction to services is far too prolonged!!!!!
I had NO return call. I had no painkillers apart from paracetamol and WAS LEFT WITHOUT CARE FOR THE WEEKEND.
Dr Ewing was carefree, careless and sounded quite indifferent.

Why can't we call the Dr's for a phone call? We don't want to use the ridiculous online system. Every time I go to Bow it's empty.. they don't seem rushed off their feet. When calling there's a 1 minute 30 second recording that you must endure.. why? Pointless. The staff on the phone are rude and it feels like they just want to get rid of you.. as if it's an inconvenience I've called them. They just fob you off with their mediocre online system. They demand you still wear masks. Not even Exeter hospital require you to wear masks anymore. I'm literally infuriated with Bow medical practice. Avoid at all costs. If I could give 0 stars I would. Bow medical have reduced my wife to tears multiple times. Angry. Very angry.

So far my mum & I have had great care from all at this surgery, the receptionist i spoke to was very helpful & the doctor we both saw (Dr.Shannon) was so patient & showed real interest in what we said. It's lovely to see my mum be cared for so kindly. Good old fashioned " bedside manner " cannot be faulted here...thank you x

For my blood test I have had to change to North Tawton as could never get an appointment at Bow. The bow practice has gone down hill immensely they have evn forgot my last month repeat prescription. North Tawto are far better.
