I came to this doctor's about 4 years ago and it was really good no complaints but recently I find it unfit for purpose. You can never get to see a doctor anymore and the receptionists only one or two are very rude and make it very difficult to let you have an appointment plus it shouldn't be there business to ask you what the problem is. That's between you and your doctor. Doctor patient confidentiality. I am disabled and sometimes I can be severely ill. But the receptionist still won't get you an appointment and if you manage to get an appointment it's for 4-5 weeks later which is ridiculous. All the doctors have seemed to vanish recently. Plus if you get to speak to a doctor they should not be rude or rush you of the phone . It was an excellent practice few years ago now it's gone down ill. No wonder people are dying.

Well up until today we had never had a bad experience.

Unfortunately our appointment for my elderly mothers (89) flu jab at 11.12 hrs today changed all that.

What a thoroughly disappointing experience, which has left my mother very upset and me very annoyed.

From the word go we felt like we were an inconvenience to the young lady we saw.

There was no warm greeting, introduction or eye contact, and the whole interaction was very uncomfortable.

Even when we were leaving she never looked up from her keyboard and only begrudgingly acknowledged we were leaving when we said good bye.

Id like to think that this might have been a one off and that for some reason she might be having a bad day.

However I am of the opinion that that if you struggle to use even the most basic of manners, or display some form of empathy- particularly when dealing with an elderldy individual then you're probably not suited to the role. 0/10

I voiced my concerns to a receptionist when leaving and then followed it up with a phone call requesting I speak with the practice manager.

This was declined and has resulted in this review which should be sufficient for the matter to be looked into.

One look at the amount of negative reviews should be deeply concerning for the practice management.

So far a very poor experience. They use the outdated system of "call at 9:30am to get an appointment." Other medical centres let you book online, which makes it easier for users and for receptionist staff. When trying to make an appointment I used the call back feature, which called me back after 40 minutes, was a silent call, and just hung up on me.

Doctors and nurses great but receptionists make it hard work to see them. Don't understand why you can't book an appointment online instead of waiting great length of time on costly phone. Surely online booking would be of great benefit to all concerned.

Some of the receptionists have a terrible attitude on the phone. They are dealing with people who have mental health problems, so you think they should show some basic empathy skills. However sadly lacking.

So far we had very bad experience with the reception desk. Absolutely no point to get there and do anything with them. Staff need training.

My partner turned up today for his appointment only to be told he had cancelled the appointment himself the night before on-line ( he does not do anything on-line) he had a handwritten appointment card which was provided by the receptionist on his previous visit 4 weeks earlier. He has been told that the next available appointment is over 2 weeks wait, reading previous reviews of this Medical centre it seems to be a regular accurance with the reception staff mixing-up patients appointments trying to pass the blame from themselves.
My partner has leg & foot problems & he has to walk a considerable distance to get the the surgery, so today was a total wasted journey for him.
I have advised him to move to a different local surgery, which he will be doing soon.
