My Dad has lived here for the past 17 months! It is spacious, tastefully decorated and modern. All the staff are helpful and friendly. The residents rooms are lovely too. Quite spacious with an on-suite type wet room. It has the feeling of a hotel. There is a "free bar" where residents can sit and have a drink. There's a library, lots of outdoor spaces. Several lounges which feel homely and cosy.
The girls who sort out activities for the residents work hard having all types of things going on for the residents who want to get involved. Making cards/baking/ armchair aerobics etc. They even take the residents for trips out locally. A local pub. The indoor Market etc.
If I was gonna choose a carehome for myself in years to come. This would be it.

Even though the staff did do a fine job, but the only reason they get 4 stars and not 5 stars, is that when my mum passed away there, a member of staff said she was sleeping and not relised she died until she checked on my mum and relised that she died.

I can not not thank the staff at birch park enough for the care they gave to mum from management to kitchen staff every member of staff cared and supported my mum and us as a family Jackie is amazing and so supportive Anna and Michelle mum loved them and had many a joke with them and they were our rock too it is certainly somewhere I would recommend we certainly felt part of the birch park family and will miss coming to see you guys too

Staff friendly cheerful and attentive. Made my mum feel special and put all her worries about respite care to bed .

Today I collected my mum after 6 weeks respite I cannot praise the staff enough for there love and support they have given to us all I am hoping we will get a funded place in the near future as this is where I want her to live and make her life with dementia a happy one
