This is actually a really good surgery , there are some excellent members of staff who are professional , sympathetic and kind . The issue with this surgery and it has always been, are the back room staff . These are the people you never actually meet , but they lord it over the patients like their life depended on it . They question you to the point of calling you a liar , are unsympathetic , rude and on occasion hostile . Their clear lack of empathy does make you wonder why they are in the job when they have no interest in actually helping you . Why this is never addressed is beyond me , time and time again the issue is with these people and yet here we still are . Get rid of them and get people who actually ‘want’ to help .

I called my GP at 8am sharp and was first in the queue, only to be told the earliest available appointment was at 4:55pm. Despite my politeness, the receptionist was extremely rude and lacked any empathy. I had to cancel the appointment later that day as it was too late for me. When I spoke to another receptionist to inquire about morning appointments, she confirmed there were indeed earlier slots available.

The male receptionist was even worse. I asked him to contact my mum's GP for some pain relief while she awaited an operation, as her pain was unbearable, and his response was utterly vile. I’d also like to add that I am so polite and make a point of being kind to them as I know gp receptionists get an awful lot of grief but there is no excuse for the way I’ve been treated.

The consistent lack of professionalism and empathy from the receptionists at this practice is unacceptable. I’m now switching doctors because I can't endure such treatment any longer. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Doctors are great! When you see them! Got told I need to book an appointment as soon as possible if symptoms still present, I’ve called every day for the past two weeks and they don’t even pick up or turn the phone on until 8.30 when they tell you to pick up at 8 and then no appointments! Even when your symptoms are severe chest pain, struggle breathing and are losing weight by the day! And I still can’t get booked in, absolute joke of a service and when someone dies because of this surgery’s lack of care good luck with the court case, receptionists included for not doing there job properly by actually having the lines open at 8am and seeing people with serious presenting symptoms, not only that I can’t even get appointments for my pregnant girlfriend who has had to be rushed into hospital multiple times, joke of a surgery.

Expect to wait a month for an appointment. Staff have zero empathy. Reception staff also have zero empathy. Cancel your appointments at the last minute, then they cannot get you in for another month. I went to see the doctor about heart palpitations and he turned around and said to me ‘Do you have any idea what it could be’ If you’re Non white DO NOT USE THIS surgery (They will care less).

Worst service! I know GPs are busy but for all same day appointments to be gone by 8:30am is ridiculous! Wish we could go somewhere else but it’s based on postcode.

Second review for 28/6: just hung up on me! Fuming doesn't even come close, I have been on hold for 15 minutes in the queue. Awful service

They essentially can't make appointments, no matter how far in advance.

Which makes them pointless. Could say a lot more but the other reviews cover it.

I'm looking into changing practice or going private if I can afford it.

Abysmal service, phones lines down, no appointments, no support for a poorly 4 year old with a disability. receptionist didn't even try to find a solution and lack basic empathy. What happened to small children being made a priority! Previous surgery would have moved heaven and earth to try and fit a poorly child in. Very disappointing service!

Rang for an appointment and was told I couldn't make one. Err ever!? I had to call at 8 am when the line is always busy. There were no appointments available for the rest of February. You're not even a service. I'd score you zero star rating if Google allowed.

Go up
