My mum is 87 with vascular dementia, she contacted infections and a wound on her heel.
From chatting with receptionist team, and seeing Dr Barton and the promptness to see the nurse the same day, got a referral to see other medical professionals. And receiving support throughout is priceless.
My mum thankfully is now on the right road to recover.
Cannot thank the Billesdon team enough. 🥰❤️❤️

My experience with the surgery has been ok but recently I’m finding the receptionist to be least helpful and lacking empathy, I work in a surgery myself and we are trained as receptionist to help the patients and show empathy, it’s impossible to get an appointment with a gp because you just can’t get past the receptionist. I very rarely call and use the nhs app myself but on the odd occasion when I have needed an appointment for my children I have found the reception staff to be very un helpful not listening to the issue and talking over me. I work in a surgery, I know how the appointment system works please train your reception staff to be more empathetic. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but after my recent incident of not being given an appointment on the third attempt for my daughters results even though her results clearly showed she is anaemic I’m forced to leave this review.

Lindsey Tranter is an absolute star. Very warm, welcoming and professional making me feel at ease. Had a diabetic check and bloods today which was completely painless. Thank you Lindsey and the team, I really appreciate what you do.

I am very impressed by the reception staff and in-house dispensary is a boon. Efficient and pleasant in all the dealings I’ve had with then recently and felt they should be praised. Thank you

Excellent service yet again in the surgery. Again, i forgot to order my medication, again the dispensary staff rushed it through. A queue almost out the door, staff smiling , happy. Looks very stressful, but nothing is too much. Thanks.

If I could give no stars I would. I needed to see a doctor face to face - I was told that all appointments were taken - I asked if I could have the next available appointment - I was told that the surgery only booked face to face appointments for a month in advance and if I wanted an appointment I would need to phone on the day that they released the new appointments........When I tried to do that it was like the Hunger Games. Never saw the doctor face to face and couldn't get an appointment over the phone because , even though I phone at 8am I never manage to be one of the lucky ones.

I get a text asking me to call the surgery. So I call the surgery and I an 3rd in the queue. An hour later I am still hanging on the phone repeatedly thanking me for my patience. I have been number one in the queue for over half an hour. It’s bloody obvious to me that that they’ve all buggered off to lunch and they just let the “customers “ wait!. It’s a disgrace and no one there gives a toss.

Just before Christmas I had 2 medical emergencies. Whilst I am not a fan of the 8am call stampede, I called separately for both and was saw a dr on the day for both issues. I have to say that the level of care I received was exemplary. On both occasions I saw Dr Wardle and was treated promptly and very effectively. What was particularly impressive were the follow up calls to see how I was doing - these really made a big difference to me. Whilst the NHS is clearly struggling it has in Billesdon surgery a fantastic team.
