I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Bewdley Medical Centre for a family member. The lack of available appointments is absolutely appalling. It's almost impossible to see a doctor, and the entire process leaves patients feeling neglected and frustrated.

The online booking system is possibly the worst I've ever experienced. And it feels like the staff are just passing the buck when it comes to dealing with issues related to it, despite the fact that this system was chosen and implemented by the medical centre itself. There's a clear lack of ownership and responsibility, which only adds to the frustration.

Moreover, there's a noticeable absence of care from the staff. There are ongoing health issues that remain unaddressed, I find the atmosphere at Bewdley Medical Centre unwelcoming and disheartening. It's disheartening that I have to struggle so much just to get basic healthcare. I would love to actually see a doctor, but given the current state of things, this seems almost impossible.

Overall, the service at Bewdley Medical Centre is unacceptable, and I hope significant improvements are made soon to ensure patients receive the care they need and deserve.

I am writing this review specifically about Dr Christina Emery. (Whoever reads this please pass this on to her and say it is from Max)

Never in my life have I ever seen an NHS doctor that has had the level of patience, care and kindness as this wonderful young lady.

She truly made me feel listened to and humoured me by providing me with various tests I requested to calm my anxiety. I dismissed her initial diagnosis due to my own trust issues and brain not being able to see past the worst possible scenario and she still continued to check in and even provided a rapid update on a blood marker to calm my mind.

I cannot thank you enough Dr Emery, truly.

As far as the surgery goes all the staff are pleasant and polite and the waiting rooms/screens with appointments on are very efficient, only downside is having to pay for parking, but overall, great docs!

Contacted on Wednesday via online, the was placed with physio, completed online questionnaire the unfortunately missed a phone call on the Friday as I was at work. No message left. Contacted surgery today for an update, they have no idea who contacted me on the Friday and have just informed me I'm on a waiting with the physio. I'm aware I will have to wait but at least let me know. Who was the call from ? Documentation is so important, especially in this job.....

I can't fathom the booking process at this centre, and I am a tech savvy person. The website said to try and book an appointment online at 7am but nothing happens (see times on the photos attached). I've done the 99 step new patient process, I've tried to adhere to your requirements for booking and I'm lost. After all this, is the answer really going to be just "call reception"?
How do older patients cope?
All I need is a routine appointment for a women's health matter, the delay is dangerous.

This lovely caring surgery has changed so much. The way of getting an appointment keeps changing and when I question why I’m always told it’s the government guidelines, yet other surgeries in the area seem to organise things in a much more patient friendly and efficient way. It’s such a shame but I was told recently by a receptionist “ unfortunately we can’t please everyone “ and while I’m quite sure that’s true , reading some of these reviews, it seems there are not many patients pleased with the service.it’s Care Quality Commission rating is- Requires Improvement and it really does .We have some excellent doctors, please try to get the systems right.

I had thought this practice to be functioning well until my most recent experiences. It's nigh on impossible to get an appointment. After numerous unsuccessful phone attempts at contacting the surgery I followed the recommendation to use the online portal, only to be immediately directed to actually call the practice by phone. When eventually I did get through by phone, they told me to make my enquiry online, but to be sure for the process to work...be online at 7am. That was experience number 1
Number 2 : using the practice app I very easily booked an appointment for a blood test. Important here to note...there were no questions on the app that asked as to why I wanted the blood test. No reference for a need to be referred by a GP. Turn up for the appointment having booked time off work etc only to be told very bluntly by the HCA that I can't just book for a blood test without being referred by a GP. I explained that the app does not present that narrative...to which she replied " that's the way it is and there's nothing I can do". Sadly the practice, "some" of the staff and the entire working methods have fallen way short of acceptable. Seems to be no accountability. Patient care and understanding has become seemingly unimportant these days.

It’s harrowing watching my loved ones go through hell because the admin here is so atrocious. Crucial appointments and referrals are being missed. Results get lost. Appalling lack of accountability.

Absolutely terrible place, non existent care or help, unorganised, incompetent and uninterested in patients with real problems. Unfortunately you can’t give zero stars on the review

I have come back to edit this review 1 year after leaving the previous review. The service at this practice has actually deteriorated even further. The levels of clerical incompetence from management all the way down to reception is absolutely shocking, nothing is ever done correctly or in a timely manner. If this was a normal business it would have gone bust years ago. The fact that doctors are hardly ever at the surgery is a huge underlying problem, made worse by a lack of any type of management or robust administration system.

If it hasnt happened already, this place will claim lives
