Can not fault the reception ladies or any of the doctors I've seen. Recently having to take my little boy with me to have the implant fitted the lovely ladies on reception were more then happy to have him sit with them so I wasn't panicking during my appointment. There have also been other occasions where they have happily offered to watch my little girl (in a pram) just so I could nip the toilet without struggling to get the pram in and out. Non of this I would have expected.

Although difficult to get an appointment despite phoning daily i eventually managed to book an appointment with a GP for two weeks time. On arrival ( despite receiving a text from practice confirming) I was told by receptionist I did not have an appointment. This was eventually sorted & receptionist apologised.
I saw Dr Gibson who was absolutely superb from the start of my consultation to the end. Professional, thorough & compassionate. Dr Gibson is a doctor who cares & I would like to say a sincere thank you to her for listening & promptly acting on my concerns.

Awful experience with a receptionist they all don’t follow the same protocol concerning parents accessing children over the age of 16 records. One gave me half the information without child present and asked me to call back later on . I called again asked for the other half of the results only to be told they don’t give this information unless the child is present. I asked the receptionist to filter back that they are not following the same protocol which causes upset and to get this in order . Her reply was she wouldn’t do anything about it - I asked for her name and she terminated the call absolute awful way to speak to a concerned parent.

Worst doctors in widnes. Never see the same doctor and can never get an appointment. The receptionists believe they are doctors and are horrible to speak to. West Bank surgery was much better before they joined these clowns. Avoid at all cost

Dr Kassim is very good, always thorough and she knows what she’s on about. Super. Unfortunately the receptionists are lacking in people skills and are quite rude. While I was sat waiting to be seen , I heard the receptionist talk to an elderly patient like she was a criminal. Absolutely disgusting. Should be ashamed of herself. They are like that with everyone

The doctors and nurses are brilliant, however it’s the reception staff that lets this practice down. They are rude, abrasive and short tempered, who give inconsistent / contradicting information depending which receptionist you speak to, which points to lack of internal communication and training.

Appointment times and availability could be much better.

I’ve recently moved to this GP surgery and can’t thank staff enough for being so helpful. The nurses and doctors I’ve seen so far have been professional, empathetic and knowledgeable. It’s been much appreciated. Thank you!

This morning I rang up to make an appointment and explained I needed to see a female dr. The lady I spoke to said she could book me in for 2pm that day and gave me the name of the Dr (foriegn name) and explained this was a female doctor. When i arrived the self check in wouldn't confirm it was myself, however eventually did.Due to this I hadn't noticed the name of the Dr it stated I was seeing. At 2.20pm I had still not been called through so I went to see the receptionist. Her abrupt answer was it's only 20mins after your appointment you know, like I wasn't aware of the time! She then said my appointment had been voided as it hadn't booked me in. She would have to see could I still be seen! She then confirmed I could and it was Dr Connor. I explained I had requested a female Dr and this was confirmed. She argued this wasn't case like I was a complete idiot. She said It was the reception supervisor or manager that had booked me in, and it was Dr. O'connor. I asked her to name all the doctors so I could tell her which name I was given, as I could assure her it wasn't my own Dr who was Dr O'connor . There was a good reason I had requested a female Doctor. She said I'll call the person who booked you in, then said oh no she has already gone home. Dr O'connor then came out and I explained It had been confirmed a female Dr would see me. He asked would I still care to speak to him. After having to take unpaid time off work and not knowing when I could next get an appointment I had no choice. However I'm totally disgusted I was put in an uncomfortable situation, having to discuss something I did not feel comfortable with a male Dr. But more so the receptionist attitude from the word go.
