Beth supported my husband and me in the preparation for the birth of both our babies, the first as my midwife in the NHS community midwife team in 2021 and the second, in her current role as a private midwife, in 2024. We felt prepared going into both births, understanding the options available to us based on our birth plan and I was fortunate to have two (fairly!) stress free births.
I felt that I was able to ask any question and that I was always given a very balanced response, backed up with the latest studies and reports on the subject that let us make our own choice on how and where I gave birth. This empowered me to make the right choices for me and my family and despite neither birth being picture perfect, (do these exist?!) my husband and I felt comfortable and supported going into both.

Beth provided care for me from week 35 of my pregnancy until four weeks postpartum earlier this year. We chose her because of her approach which balances being incredibly knowledgeable, professional and passionate about what she does with also being very friendly and empathic. She worked in a way that was really flexible for our family’s needs, going above and beyond to research and provide balanced information to us when we needed it, and making us feel like nothing was too much trouble. She helped me to have a positive and relaxed birth experience, and to feel prepared, calm and safe throughout. The whole experience was an absolute game changer for us, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone considering an independent midwife!

My partner was a little reluctant to get independent care, but as a midwife myself, I knew how important it would be. Beth is an excellent combination of experienced NHS midwife with plenty of homebirth/emergency experience, but also a holistic understanding of what's needed.
A few weeks later, my partner told me, 'You were right about needing Beth. ' We had lots of medical complications and ended up with a completely different birth from planned, but we had protected spaces where everything felt great. The birth itself was medical but sacred to us, and we would not have had the proper support to experience it that way without Beth. The events also had a significant impact on our ability to breastfeed.
I also have a chronic health condition (FND), and she impressed me with her level of learning about this.
We are now up and running with a healthy, happy five-week-old.

Beth was an amazing support to us when we moved to the area late in my pregnancy and then in the early weeks of having a newborn. She often went above and beyond to make sure we were getting the very best care from her, always approachable, willing to help, knowledgeable and competent. She struck a skilful balance of listening intently to what we felt while bringing in her own expertise. Thank you Beth!

We were incredibly lucky to have Beth support us during our pregnancy with our second child. Her knowledge, warmth and guidance made us feel at ease throughout the entire process and we felt confident and prepared.
Whenever we had questions, she would always be able to answer them and put our minds at ease which made us feel confident going into the birth.
Beth was fully supportive of our decision to have a home birth and prepared us for all eventualities.
A truly wonderful midwife who really does put you at ease from the moment you meet her. I am now pregnant with my third baby and although I do not live locally anymore, she still provides support and offers guidance when I need it!

Bethany’s standard of care is so above and beyond anything I’ve experienced in my previous 5 pregnancies. Her knowledge and skills are only exceeded by her compassion and gentleness. I look back on my entire pregnancy and birth experience with so much gratitude for her care.

I am so grateful to have been under Beth’s care and support during my pregnancy and postnatal journey. Beth is very informative, professional and warm and relaxing in her approach which instantly put me at ease.
I would definitely have her again in any future pregnancies and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be listened to and their care and wishes put first which to me was very important.

I was luck enough to meet Beth when I was pregnant with my daughter. I didn't have the most amazing experience with my pregnancy but was finally given beth as a midwife around 30weeks. Beth massively changed my experience for the better, I was massively put at ease and felt much more comfortable going for my appointments. After my daughter was born Beth came and visited me at home to do our checks so I didn't have to go into the hospital and I could rest more. My daughter is now one years old and me and Beth are still in contact 🙂 it was a pleasure having her as my midwife and I couldn't recommend her enough. Thank you for everything.
