Best padel court in Essex! The plastic floor really made for a cinematic experience playing. The sound of the ball coming off the loose walls sounds and plays great. Renting a racket has never been cheaper than Benton Hall, they’re practically giving them away for £5 an hour! Would highly recommend for anyone serious about padel.

Possibly the worst Paddle Courts in Essex. The courts feel like a year 7 wood tech project, plastic tile flooring and flimsy walls. May be ok for those playing a slower more casual pace, but anyone below the age of 80 I would strongly suggest playing elsewhere, especially as the same price as many other much better paddle courts nearby. Equipment also costs £5 per session per person and we were kicked off 5 minutes early to allow them to lock up. Not sure I would play here even if it was free.

I have now left the club due to prices going up and my experience going down. I’m not a golfer and mainly used swimming pool spa and attended classes. The sauna had an overhaul and ended up worse than before … it looks tired and does not have a luxury feel anymore … the classes are good great instructors but too short and not enough of them. I’ve joined Virgin active it’s a lot cheaper, got a great vibe and loads of classes and equipment. My husband still goes but wants to leave, the staff were so unhelpful when he couldn’t access his app to book classes - he left and joined again something he deeply regrets now as the gym does not have enough machines - he still can’t access the app and he will be leaving asap - except he can’t get on the app! I wouldn’t recommend joining this club anymore. The 2 stars are for the class instructors and the lovely lady who cleans the changing room.

The views are beautiful, but unfortunately, several staff members come across as very unprofessional, and the overall customer service definitely needs improving - Some of the staff can be very rude. It's also worth noting that weekly performance reviews are held between staff and their teams in the open restaurant area, which isn’t something I want to hear when I’m visiting the gym. Additionally, the parent and child parking spaces—of which there are only six—are sometimes used for cleaning golf buggies, despite other designated areas being available. I also hear a lot of the staff talking negatively about each other, as well as talking negatively about members who come here - I'm sure I will be one of them, as they haven't taken my feedback on board, they just get very defensive and dismissive. A lot of the areas are often used for private functions, which means that the spaces are very over crowded. I hope to see some improvements, as the gym has great potential.

Had a great morning playing paddle tennis. Even if you can't play, like my friends and I, I would suggest giving it a go, we had great fun.

A lovely setting for a round of golf.
Work being done to a lot of tee boxes and clubhouse area but that’s a good thing for all visitors ready for the year to come!

Will definitely be visiting again.

Myself and my partner popped in for a glass of wine and a beer, what a lovely place. Relaxed atmosphere, gentle music and a tv playing sport. Jamie served our drinks, the tall young chap who was wearing all black, very polite and great customer service. We shall visit again. Thank you for a pleasant afternoon.
