Before I share my traumatic experience, I’d like to first share my positive experience with Dr. Mitchel Mantella whom I had a telephone consultation on 21/2/25 as I have chickenpox where he gave me helpful and detailed advice and prescription. So I’d like to commend him for that. Thank you very much!

I followed up today 24/2/25 as I felt like my symptoms were getting worse and needed to speak to a GP. I was able to book an emergency appointment after calling the GP 4x. They booked me a 5:15pm telephone consultation but the GP called at 6:23pm. It was a female GP but I was unable to take note of the name as she was rushing. I wanted to consult about the pain, swelling and blisters on a sensitive part of my body as I was worried that I might get an infection. She spent a long time clicking on her computer checking what she should give me as an advice/treatment and kept saying that the system doesn’t come up with anything. The only thing she came up with is that I should use “camomile” lotion and not calamine lotion which I’m not sure is right. I’m quite concerned with the level of knowledge and expertise as a GP who is seeing multiple patients who have critical illness.

She is also quick to dismiss my concerns with the severe pain and swelling on the blisters, difficulty in swallowing and and pain inside my mouth - telling me that I have already been prescribed with medications so what other medication do I still want… It felt very rude and not the treatment a patient should receive. She also hanged up on me in the middle of our call which lasted 15mins..

I am very disappointed and frustrated with the kind of treatment I received today.

This serves as a formal complaint and would like to speak to the practice manager of this GP.

I will be honest, I think I love my GP because of Hilary first and then because they always provide you with the best care. From management, receptionists and doctors everyone is always willing to help and go the extra mile for you. I have been a patient at Belsize priory since I was a baby, not once have they let me down. Kemi takes my bloods perfectly, not once have I felt pain or discomfort which is unusual for me. And Dr Mitchel Mantella has been an amazing addition to them. He’s an amazing young doctor, actually listens to you and provides you with the best care needed.

Dr. Mitchell Mantella is an incredibly talented and dedicated young doctor. He recently treated my 22-month-old daughter with such kindness and compassion that it truly put us at ease. His ability to connect with both parents and children is remarkable, and he took the time to explain everything in a clear and reassuring way. We felt confident in his care and are so grateful for the outstanding treatment we received. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Mantella to anyone looking for a thoughtful and skilled doctor!

I went to my appointment on 6/2/25, I was waiting to be seen by a doctor.
A man walked in very stressed, trying to explain that the receptionist made a mistake, he was explaining that they gave him a doctor and a nurse appointment on the same day, but they were saying no you only have a nurse appointment.
He kept on saying that the receptionist wrote it down and it was important to see the doctor.
Any way he asked to see the manager,
Manager came and sorted it out. When he left the two receptionist were making fun of him and laughing at his problem. Very sad to see that if you are in pain and need help, people that getting paid to help you, laughing behind your back in front of the other patients.what they don’t understand is if anyone goes to the doctor is not to have a good time and they need help or there love ones need help, all I’m saying if you can’t be nice to people, find another job that doesn’t evolve dealing with public.

Mrs Kami Naval was excellent at taking my blood today. It usually is very difficult and painful to do blood tests on me and I would often feel traumatised by the experience but she was absolutely fantastic! Pain free and very pleasant blood test experience. I hope I get her every time for any future blood work. Thank you!!

I’ve Had several blood tests lately taken by Kami ,they were all painless. Kami is a very caring person understanding patients fears, I felt very relaxed with her.

I’ve just had a telephone appointment with Dr Abubakr Shaikh related to my son.

Have to say I’m super disappointed at this appointment, with multiple elements:

1. Appointment delay…The appointment was scheduled to be 4:30 pm today, so I canceled his afterschool club and arranged him and myself be available from 4:30. However we waited till 6:07 pm that Doctor finally called us. No prior contact of delay, nor any apologize from him at all.

2. Rush and rude… he seems quite in rush, I told him I have 2 things to consult related to my son, he immediately said to me that “I only have 10 minute and can only deal 1 thing”, in a quite rude manner. Then I prioritized the more important thing, which is that I worry about my son’s BMI quite low and I have private insurance that I just need a referral letter so I can see a specialist through my private insurance. He immediately told me he needs to see my son in person next time, he can’t do anything now (last year in similar situation, the doctor could send a link to see my son via phone’s camera), but it seems he doesn’t bother. Then I told him about the second worry, that my son has a corn on his feet, that if he could see via phone, also same answer “no, nothing I can do”, then rushed hang up the phone without me even finish. He said he will see him in person, however that means I need to wait for another 3 weeks that probably the corn will get much worse. I’ve never had such a bad experience with this practice before, it was shocking and disappointing. So whole call lasted 2min, seems he gained his 10 min time back.

All I need is a referral letter so I can go to see specialist with my private insurance. However leaving me shocked and speechless after such a disappointing call.

I was with dr .Sadiki for years . I never think that I will be able to open up in a front of other doctor ( even if dr sadiki is a man ) . However today I had a pleasure to speak with dr Hanosh . She is the most sweet lady . She explane me everything with the small details , she talk slow so I can understand and I was so comfortable . I am suffering with some anxiety disorders and contact with people is always a problem . Not with her !!!thank you very much dr Nabila Hanosh . You are a star in this cold dark time ❤️🙏
