I was asked to book a blood test/blood pressure for a repeat prescription. Tried to ring & was 12th in the queue, so gave up. Rang back next day, first in the queue answered promptly very polite & helpful young man. I was in for an appointment that day, one person waiting for the nurse before me - very efficient! Pleased with my experience!

0 star.

After submitting an e-consult, you will have to wait for at least 2 weeks till you receive a telephone call from them. Sometimes you only get an email reply.

After booking you in, they can cancel your appointment anytime / in the last minute without letting you know.

Conclusion: you will never see your doctor if your condition is not Serious enough. This clinic is getting worse and worse which is really disappointing. The doctor, nurses and receptionists are nice though.

Really poor service when trying to book an appointment, it’s not geared towards working people at all. They can call at any time on a day they nominate, which currently is usually almost 2 weeks after you request an appointment), and if you miss their two calls, I.e because you are working and unable to answer calls, you have to go through the whole system once again and wait another 14 days. By the time I now speak to a Dr (not even see one which is what I requested), about my daughter who is complaining of intermittent chest pains and has an underlying heart condition I will have waited almost 4 weeks! If I could score zero I would, an awful service for working people.

New to the surgery, I did an econsult this morning and a paramedic rang me back a couple hours later, listened to my concerns and prescribed me the medication. She sent it to my nominated pharmacist and said it would be ready for collection this afternoon! So far so good! It was the pharmacies in Plympton that did not stock the medication prescribed, so I had to drive around Plymouth and eventually struck gold at Hyde Park Pharmacy! But excellent speedy service so far at Beacon!

Great practice, Doctors and staff
I had previously ordered my meds prior to running out but last week they weren’t ready however I had enough to take me to yesterday when I was due to collect the prescription. I then had to take my daughter back to uni because her train was cancelled so couldn’t collect my prescription from Wotter. Today I went into Glenside to see if they could help in any way as my prescription was at Wotter and not open until Thursday now. The receptionist was really helpful, reordered and said it would be ready by the end of the day. Less than an hour later I got a text message to say it was ready. Ready good group trying their best whilst implementing a new system. Well done Beacon. ?

I do not feel safe at all with Beacon Medical Group.
In January I had a wheezing chest and was told by a doctor at the surgery I was fine to then contract pleurisy.
I have called them recently to ask for blood results and have been told I need to go to the hospital to find out results.
They fob you off with any excuse putting your life at risk.
Very unprofessional.

Unable to get a doctors appointment, despite being told by other medical professionals that I need to be seen by a doctor. No understanding of what it is like to be a working professional (in the NHS itself) - I cannot wait by the phone all day. If a doctor had seen me face-to-face many, many months ago I wouldn't be in the position now.

I came in to drop off a sample, I was ignored by both receptionist until they finished on their computers
I handed the sample over, on the way home I got a phone call from beacon by the time I pulled over they had hung up. Tried ringing back, I was 16th in queue so I drove back as it would be quicker.
Ignored again give my name dob etc told they didn't know what the specimen was for, then they read my record and now know and they no longer need me!
No apology, could somebody not have sent a text - please ignore last phone call saving everybody wasted time and stress
