I have recently moved to Beaminster and registered at Barton House. I must say that my first impressions are very positive. Very helpful and friendly receptionists and no endless queue when phoning the surgery.

Son had an operation which requires him to been seen by the nurse daily, no availability agreed to do the dressings myself but came up against a brick wall when trying to get the dressings required from the surgery. Receptionist is very rude no compassion, just likes to get her point across, could do with some serious training as people only come to the doctors when there unwell and don't want to have a negative/rude telephone conversation.!!

My family and I have been with the surgery for over 35 years. They've always been fantastic to us and we feel that we are given the time and attention that patients deserve.

They have been especially fantastic during this very difficult time that everyone is going through due to Covid-19. I have had a baby during the pandemic and have found accessing medical help from Barton House during pregnancy and after birth have been straight forward and easy; the reception staff have been kind and helpful, the doctors have been positive, reassuring and also very helpful. I can't thank them enough for their efforts.

Overall I and my family highly recommend them.

I have been really pleased with the surgery in the last few weeks. Despite, I am sure being extremely busy, they have taken the time to contact me twice and update me on my query. I also received an email from the GP with regards to this. The staff who contacted me were friendly and took the time to explain everything to me.
I have been really impressed with the service I received.

Appalling, do not go here if you care for your health and safety. Rude ignorant receptionists .two nasty female GPS. One of whome thinks she is a Viking, goes into battle with pointless dialogue then accuses you of taking too long. Extremely rude with her comments and accuses you of lying. Just because she can't find whats wrong. As for the main female GP. She is dangerous and should be struck off. She has had a vendetta against my wife, ( whome she has never seen , or had a consultation with ) just decided my wife's serious medication was too high a dosage. Until finaly after a year of causing EXTREME DISTRESS, is put right by my wife's specialist neurologist. Only to then lamely blame their pharmacist for the error. Oh and what about the new error, ! A few weeks ago my wife was given her usual drug but at SIX times the dosage rate on the label, this could have killed her ! And this has not been the first time. We are keeping this bottle , for the court case. DONT GO HERE for gods sake !

They refused even to listen to my wife's chest when a nasty cough went on for 6 weeks, getting worse. Had to go private in the end - she was immediately administered antibiotics for a chest infection. The doctor could not believe she had not been seen. Receptionists appear to be in training for Putin's next gulag. Avoid unless desperate - even then be prepared to have to look after yourself. No wonder A&E is so full.

This surgery is one of the worst surgeries I have ever come across, I'm writing on behalf of my parents who both use it.

Almost every single time they go to get their prescriptions it is either lost of they do not fulfill it properly. The queues and wait times are beyond ridiculous, it can take well over six weeks to get an appoinment.

The treatment is not much better, although most of the NHS isn't particularly good regardless! In a recent attempt by my mum to get an appointment re. possible skin infection, they asked if she could just send A PICTURE in for them!! This is the worst service I have ever come across, and to ask for a picture rather than just book an appointment for someone who is in a more vulnerable age bracket, strikes me as negligence. The management here needs a complete overhaul, they also need to employ some people who can actually work their computer system, it's shamefully bad. If you are looking to sign up here, you have been warned!!
