Very sad news that a very young 18 year old patient managed to abscond from
Cornerstone house two weeks ago and jumped off a bridge over the M1 and killed herself
This place needs to be shut down CQC has marked needs improvement since April 2022
Now run by Elysium healthcare care .
Under new name Barnet Lane clinic.
CQC needs to re investigate and move all the patients
Management needs to change and most some staff are extremely rude , abrupt and disorganised not trained in all aspects of mental health.
When they come to our country learn manners first .
Family members are already going through a very hard seeing there love ones suffering whilst locked up in hospitals wards like yours.
This is a teaching hospital so a lot of students practicing on our loved ones .
These students do not know how to look after our ones just sit there writing notes .
Stollen clothes , clothes ruined in the washing machine by staff and management do not help .
Even the managers are extremely rude .
Don’t send your loved ones here they will be there for a very long time !
Remember it’s a business for them the longer they keep a patient the more money they earn .
After 27 years in hospital !
My son will never recover from his ordeal after they falsed him into support living too quickly
which went horribly wrong .

Absolutely fantastic mental health provision. My daughter has been poorly for some time and has had a very negative experience of mental health services until Cornerstone. The programmes are well thought out and effective, the staff are just great, the care is geared around the individual and for the first time in a very long time, I have seen some progress for my daughter. I cannot recommend this facility and provision enough.
Unfortunately, by the time my daughter left (summer 2021) the Cornerstone House had deteriorated very badly, had a terrible CQC inspection, the well thought out and helpful programs had all but stopped and the staffing levels were critical. Such a shame, because the place was amazing, but it was sold off and ruined.

The worst inpatient experience I’ve ever had by far. Full of abusive and highly negligent staff, and incompetent, heartless and under qualified management. Rob Letting, Gerard Comey, Jessica Watson and Gordon Shannon: shame on you. I was left to deteriorate with an eating disorder to the point of literal collapse, and even then the staff never came. Came out even more traumatised than when I went in and I’ve never been the same.

Outstanding. Vision Healthcare is the best mental health facility I've come across in my 20 odd years experience of dealing with both the service users, and the clinical teams involved in my daughters ongoing care. The staff are without doubt some of the best, most caring, professional, approachable and hard working teams I have ever met, in my estimation they are all deserving of a 5 star review.

Despite many ups and downs, and I've edited this review many times whilst there, having moved on with my life I couldn't have done it without their support.

Best thing about this place is Minky the cat though 😻😉

Matt Angel the md is a nasty piece of work he denies you food when you're hungry. They put cameras in the rooms without permission but If you do not allow them they come in and check up. I'm going to sue.

OUTSTANDING is the rating cornerstone has just recieved from the CQC. I think that rating speaks volumes.
