I had a deeply upsetting experience with one of the staff at this hospital. I am seven months pregnant and had to bring my toddler along for a blood test. Unfortunately, the staff member who performed the test was incredibly unprofessional and insensitive.

I have a fear of needles, and the blood test was more painful than usual. Naturally, I winced and let out a relieved sound when it was over. Instead of showing any empathy, the staff member gestured at my three-year-old and said to me bluntly, “Now she is going to be afraid of blood. Because of you.” I was shocked by this unnecessary and hurtful comment. She then questioned why I had to wince and even told me that it shouldn’t hurt, as if I was exaggerating.

I left feeling attacked and completely unsettled. A healthcare professional should be compassionate and understanding, not dismissive and condescending. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a setting where patients should feel safe and cared for.

However, I want to express my gratitude to the receptionist, who was very understanding when I shared what had happened. She went out of her way to help make arrangements so that I would not have to come across the same staff member again.

Once admitted to a ward 5 stars. A&E inadequate - zero stars, a total shambles, but that's the norm in the UK.
Main complaint is parking...there is none effectively. I took my seriously ill 91 year old father, in a wheelchair into A&E three times in three days. Finally getting him admitted on day 3, he then had two emergency operations over several days, before receiving the news he was terminally ill. He is still in hospital.
On two occasions there was nowhere to park except drop off zones. I had to wheel Dad into A&E register him, then leave him before moving to a parking space, EVENTUALLY, for which I paid for.
However, because I exceeded the drop off (20 minutes max) by 10 minutes and 11 minutes, I have received TWO Parking fines of £60 (£100 each because I refuse to pay them).
The hospital works hand in hand with Parking Eye, who run their care park, sharing the ill gotten gains, preying on the sick and dying and desperate their relatives. When you appeal you are told about clear signage, blah, blah, blah.... who's going to read that when you are taking a sick person to hospital.
What a country we live in.

I hope never to pass this hospital anymore, it's certainly the worst hospital in London. 1 star is still a lot for this hospital.
I spent 4 hours waiting for medical care for my disabled son with high fever and no one came to even see if he needed a medication while waiting for the pediatrician, and he was the next to be called, after screening we waited for 3 hours.

Absolutely amazing Accident and Emergency experience from arrival at 5pm reception/triage to discharge at 5am following morning. The department was packed with patients and various carers/relatives. There was a continual flow of walk in patients. I could not fault the service, yes there are very long waits to be see by a practitioner. The staff are doing their best under very difficult circumstances and at times, staff have to deal with abusive behaviour from visitors in the course of their shift. Nobody deserves to be abused in the workplace. Communication regarding waiting times were regularly updated to patients via tannoy announcement. At one point it was 8hrs wait to be seen by a doctor. Thank you to all for saving lives. You are amazing 👏 ❤

I had a very disappointing experience at this hospital. I arrived feeling extremely unwell, yet I had to wait for over 10 hours to be seen. The system seemed incredibly slow, and the staff at reception a man with glasses who was from East Asia was rude and unhelpful. This added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. I expected better care and respect, especially during a time of need. Honestly, if I were in a critical condition, I’d hesitate to come back here based on this experience.

can't fault this hospital. got to their urgent centre after a horrible vertigo episode. got seen by the EM doctor within 20 minutes. Followed by several tests and GP full examination within the hour. Sad to see other patients being abusive to staff in the waiting area.
Took over an hour to get prescription from the hospital pharmacy, however, once I was reassured nothing too serious was going on, I did not mind the wait too much.

I can't fault the hospital itself, but DO NOT plan on parking here. The parking is unacceptable. The car park is hell. People are blocking the roadway to wait for spots to open up and others endlessly circling it, creating a borderline gridlock. Some clowns just park in the roadway with their hazards on and are being allowed to get away with it. It's pure insanity. Make other arrangements for transport because you run a high risk of missing your appointment while trying to park, unless you're lucky.

Mother in law was an outpatient, and we arrived 30mins early to meet her arrival by the arranged ambulance transport. Never dreamed it would take 50 minutes to get a parking spot. Obviously parking needs a serious urgent upgrade. Her actual urology scan in the hospital was quick and staff friendly. We then 'just' needed to pop up to the pharmacy in the hospital to get her prescription. Only took two and a half hours, and that is not an exaggeration. No wonder the car park has no spaces, there are 50 plus people who would have otherwise have left the premises, waiting for prescriptions to be dispensed !
