I recently had occasion to be referred to Community Dentistry Bangor Hospital. I received a speedy response and a home visit by two dentists within a very short time and they identified my problem, rectified it in record time with utmost efficiency whilst displaying empathy and kindness. Often the NHS is criticised but I have to say my experience with the community dentistry department was tremendously positive. Thanks to all involved with this valuable resource.

I was at X-ray dept today. My appointment was due for 4:10pm and I rang this morning to ask if I could attend early. The lady on phone was so helpful and was able to help me change the time. On arrival I was seen almost immediately and the young radiographer was also very friendly and helpful. A great experience. Thank you to everyone involved.

I attended Bangor Family Planning Clinic today and cannot praise Nurse Zara and Doctor Katie enough! I went in very nervous, my IUD procedure was completely pain and stress free and they made sure I was well informed and comfortable throughout. Both ladies are an asset to the NHS and their patients, thank you for everything.

The dreadful system of appointments that starts at the doctors' surgery is continued flawlessly here. First thet try and call you for your appointment, and only when they can't reach you they send you a letter. A few days before the appointment they bother you again on the phone to make sure you're 'still going to attend'. And THEN you come all the way from Holyhead, and all they do is an 'assessment' for a minor dermatological surgery (for which the rather haughty doctor didn't even get up from her chair to have a closer look at it) - and all you get is another 3-6 weeks wait for the actual surgery!!! IF there was any other choice for doctors in this whole area... but unfortunately there isn't.

I have been here I think about 5 times a year in different departments ,the staff are kind and Kurtis and there is normally a staff member sitting at the door to tell you which way your department is the hospital it's self is spotlessly clean you have parking of road and it's all FREE what else do you want ? If people had to start paying for their treatment then they really would have something to complain about , WELL DONE NHS,,

I, like the individual before me would have given the Podiatry Dept. no "stars" at all but I needed my review to be posted. The first time that I was given a referral there, I had just had my last stroke (due to a blood condition that was not yet diagnosed - not obesity). My foot turned in & my GP wanted to see if it could be treated. The podiatrist I had the misfortune to be allocated that day was, herself obese & diminutive with apparent rosacea. After asking me to walk across the room, she laughed, like a hyena. I could only ask why she asked me to carry on walking, to the sound of more laughter! Her reply? "Expletive (!!) Going out with you must be like trying to shop using a trolley with a "wonky wheel". I was appalled. Despite her unprofessional language, the idea of her mocking a patient to whom she'd been sent to help was more than I could bear. A surgeon friend said that if I wouldn't complain, he would, as he knew my medical history. I calmed him down (I'd been through more than this & my friend was aware of this). As far as I'm aware, my "mocker" was identified as the daughter of a GP who worked for years in the filthy Newtownards Rd, (poor) Health Center. She is still working, unless retired (doubtful) & she is maybe, still making fun of patients in the Podiatry Dept. of Bangor Hospital...........

Management need a good kick up the backside here.
The website cannot be accessed and has been like this for a long time.

Minor injuries has been closed since March yet a web page advises it is open.

Communication is key to success in any organisation so please fix your web link and provide timely information on any services you aspire to provide.

No actual phone number to speak to someone in that hospital. Every number it redirects you to goes to other hospitals.
