Unfriendly and unprofessional receptionists seem reluctant to assist patients. Although this was not my first choice of surgery, I was unfortunately outside the catchment area for other options

I can't say enough good things about Avisford Medical Practice in Yapton. The staff are incredibly helpful and always go above and beyond. From the warm welcome at reception to the thorough consultations with the doctors, the entire experience is positive. They truly make you feel like they care about your well-being. Highly recommend!

I have been with this practice for over 50 years and have never had any complaints untill this new appointment system was introduced. I have just spent the best part of 2 hours trying to get through, reaching number 2 or 3 in the queue and then......nothing. So frustrated, to the point where I am thinking of changing to another practice.

Waited 35 minutes in a queue to book an appointment. Got to number 2 in line to be answered only to be cut off. Phoned again and then I was number 24 in line. I just hung up as I wouldn't get an appointment after another 35 + minutes wait again, I very rarely use the doctors and now I won't bother as this isn't the first time it's happened. This surgery is a joke and wants to get their act together.

This practice is dreadful, totally obstructive. Not helpful at all. My wife was denied access to the GP who specialises in Gynae problems ( even though she told the receptionist it was a Gynae problem ) as now you have to book to see another GP who then refers you to the Gynae GP. This would probably take several weeks before seeing who you need to see. In fact you actually end up needing two appointments instead of one. Absolute madness !!! We have now registered at another practice. Suggest you do the same.

I have been having back issues since February 2023 and I have found the over all doctor related services at Avisford Medical Group to be below par. The nursing and receptionist staff have been great within the confines of the structure they are having to work with. I do feel for them as they get the raw end of the deal. I would avoid signing up to Avisford if you want to ever have contact either by phone or in person with a doctor. It is near impossible to.

Good morning to all the Staff at Avisford. I just wanted to say that I really appreciate all that you do for me. The lovely Nurse that did my blood tests yesterday was so good. The tests didn't hurt at all and she made me feel at ease (I'm a bit of wimp when it comes to needles). The ladies in reception are always helpful and smiling and when I phone in I am always helped as soon as possible.

I have been with Avisford for a little under a year now and have been to the surgery a fair few times.

Calling to make an appointment takes a very long time, the phone will just ring continuously, my average wait time is about 35 minutes, and occasionally the call will fail.

There is very poor communication from the team when it comes to prescriptions both to myself and the pharmacy which often leads to a lot of inconvenience on my part, as my prescription is not ready despite the GP saying I can collect it asap.

The nurse with the colourful hair is always on time, polite and friendly and is the only reason I haven’t given 1 star.
