Moved from a village that had the most amazing surgery Doctors actually knew you, you could get an appointment or a call never an issue even during the pandemic. Doctors listened and involved you -no wonder they’ve won awards!
You could walk in and make an appointment
Now I’ve moved into “town” it’s like another world
Can’t get an appointment at all, all e-consults which just don’t work if your symptoms don’t fit a tick box. No point calling for an appointment unless you can call at an allotted time. Everyone calls at the same time so permanently engaged
I had a heart attack and just wanted an appointment to discuss how to go forward
Still not been able to after 18 months
How is this supposed to work?!
Not good at all sadly and I’m going to change surgeries

The repeat prescription and pharmacy service is fine. The eConsult and appointment booking system is not fit for purpose and the GPs do not listen / are disinterested. Nurse/Practitioners are more approachable if and when you can get an appointment. Generally a last resort if you need medical attention.

I think a lot of the bad reviews on here are unjust. I moved from Bournemouth a couple of years ago and trying to get through to a surgery there was actually impossible. At the Atrium they always answer the phone very quickly and deal with any questions or problems in a quick and efficient manner.

Yes, occasionally there are a few hiccups but nothing that can't be sorted. I mostly use the Crossways branch and I have nothing but praise for them. Everyone from the receptionists to the nurses to the GPs all work incredibly hard and give great care.

I’ve been a patient at this surgery since it opened in Brewery Square. Wen it first opened we had a full house of GP’s in every office and would get the proper service from them. They had one receptionist which was lovely to very person who came through the front door. Over the years we’ve had all different GP’s which have left or retired and sadly to say the surgery isn’t what it should be today. Before Covid hit us I couldn’t even get to see my doctor nor during the pandemic, now back to normal life the service hasn’t changed. I know that all the doctors have to catch up on what they couldn’t do before. It’s impossible to walk in and book an appointment there and then, get a date then finally see your doctor. At the moment, you have to phone up, your doctor calls you then she or he gives you a day & time to pop in and see them. They always have different people on the reception desk not the same ones. That’s is NOT how a surgery should be run.

I’m seriously thinking of moving surgery’s.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Just got kept on hold for 5 minutes as caller number 1, they just didn’t answer the phone. I had a very simple and reasonable request as I work out of town and leave before the surgery opens and come home after it shuts and was told I couldn’t do it on the phone, weren’t willing to help me at all. Absolutely useless, they always are.
