Ashurst Park Care Home is one of the best care homes you will find! They are total package, they have amazing staff, management, service, and facilities. I cannot recommend them enough. The staff here are genuinely compassionate and dedicated to ensuring that residents are happy and comfortable. The place is always clean, welcoming, and feels like a real home. The team genuinely cares about the residents, they will go above and beyond to meet their individual needs. The moment you enter this place you will smell a pleasant odour that you will never find in any other care homes. The food here is absolutely delicious they serve full course meal every day, every resident and visitor who tried their meal felt like VIPs. The manager, Jomina is exceptional, she is very approachable, and you will feel her dedication in bringing this home to excellence.

Ashurst Park is a delightful homely and calm, friendly care environment, with welcoming staff and management. The centre is clean and tidy and well kept. They offer truly person centred care to individuals and have surely made a huge impact on peoples day to day living and wellbeing. They have a great entertainment package and a varied meals menu. The building smells fresh and clean and there is always a friendly face to welcome when you arrive to visit I would recommend this care home.

My Mum has been living at Ashurst Park for almost a year. The carers are absolutely wonderful and so great with her! She seems to really enjoy The entertainment and activities, Mary Jane takes good care of her and I get regular updates, videos calls and photos which give me great piece of mind and confidence that she is being looked after well. I have a full time job so I couldn’t ask for more! I feel I can discuss any of her needs with Jomina (manager), Gilbert, Connie, Catherine and Iris, just some of the medical team and they listen.
She has a lovely room, with beautiful garden access, which she loves! I would love to see more of her but feel confident that she is well looked after - thank you all so much 🥰

I have been to care homes across the UK, but ASHURST is one of the best out of the many. Their manager, nurses and HCA are caring and are able to support the resident to the best of their abilities. A wonderful GP who visits in person to discuss in detail the residents every week. With Everyday activities, music, dance sessions etc. It’s well-led, responsive and the safety of the resident is their priority. The manager is very knowledgeable and her door is always open to every one regardless.
Thumps up guys and keep up the good work.❤️👍🏾

My dad was recently moved to Ashurst Park after his previous care home were unable to provide the specialist dementia care he needed. What a blessed relief. Since moving to Ashurst Park, Dad is so much happier. The care he receives at Ashurst is of the highest quality. He has one to one care and the carers are all lovely. We are always warmly welcomed by everyone one who works at Ashurst Park. We are so happy he is being cared for there.

Reluctantly given 1 star as you can't review without. But not even that good.

My dear friend was shipped off to this poor excuse of a 'care home' last week(Thurs/Friday). She was refused access to her baggage. She was promised nothing would be opened without her being present (she was on a call to me when the manager/acting came in. She had left her phone open and I heard him make that promise). When she EVENTUALLY recieved her belongings EVERYTHING had been defaced... several items were missing (duly reported). The bed was too narrow and she requested it be changed. No.

Bedside drawer broken and cupboard below being used to store cleaning materials. Sunday morning was taken on commode to shower... commode disintegrated (see photo). She was initially refused her phone after this incident. Staff not only MOVED her ... she was in extreme pain having hit her head as well as other places, the staff were reluctant to call for an ambulance! When ambulance finally came Late Sunday afternoon), the up to then absent staff all piled into her room claiming they "did our best" - any idiot knows she should NOT have been moved. She does not have dementia and is fully compos mentis. She has a Supra pubic catheter and a condition known as Caudal Equina - neither of which the staff have any idea about. Currently she is in hospital. So much wrong from arriving on Friday to today (Monday). The last CQC stated "needs improvement" which has not happened in the 2+ years since last CQC visit.

See also photos of injuries (fractured base of thumb, shoulder having further ct scan) and bruising to hand and forearm

If she is returned there, I genuinely fear for her safety. I have reported to CQC. At fault and putting her at risk was the discharge co-ordinator from the hospital in Haywards Heath. A contract had been signed stating she would be moved to a home in North Wales where she would be near friends. Instead she was placed in an unsafe environment miles away leaving her isolated. Shame on you Ashurst. Shame on you Haywards Heath.

I cannot express how grateful I am to Jamina and her amazing team at Ashurst park care home. They cared for my dad in his final months and made sure he passed comfortably and ultimately when he was there he was treated with dignity and respect. The team are so good even in the challenging environment they work in I was greeted with smiles and made welcome on visits. They also go above and beyond to keep family informed of their loved one’s condition. Thank you so much guys you are all amazing xxx

Father-in-law spent his last year here. Not good. If residents are lucid they’re looked after, but once they are unable to communicate poor care, their experience deteriorates. We turned up to visit after work unannounced and often found him in soiled nappies. He was always really hungry and devoured the food we brought with us. When we turned up they were very attentive, but we suspect that he was ignored and just left in his room for much of the time as he was quiet and didn’t make a fuss. He had a fall and once discovered was sent to hospital where he died. His possessions kept going missing from his room. 1/5 is generous.
