My mother is a new resident at Ashley Park and she’s already looking and feeling better after a long hospital stay.

The carers are very kind, friendly and attentive and nothing seems too much trouble. The food is freshly cooked on the premises with many choices to encourage nutrition. The grounds are beautiful with a selection of areas to sit and explore. There is a variety of entertainment and activities, a visiting hairdresser and foot health practitioner and a doctor who visits the home each Monday. There is a lovely buzz in the home of residents enjoying the TV lounge, dining room & gardens and not just stuck in their rooms.

Even before my mother moved into Ashley Park the manager Victoria went above and beyond to help co-ordinate my mothers transfer - so I was heartened to know how efficient and helpful they were, which gives peace of mind for my mother’s care moving forward.

For us, as much as the grounds, the building, and the location have tranquility about them, it's the team at Ashley Park that stood out during my grandmother's stay this year. From the minute we walked in the door (my mother went every day for 3.5 months), we were greeted with compassion and great care. The front-of-house team went above and beyond to be gentle, kind, sensitive, and above all, mindful of the circumstances. I've read reviews on here to the contrary, and they quite frankly blow my mind and insult the professionalism of a well-established and long-standing team. My grandmother sadly had a harrowing end-of-life experience, and the doctors, nurses, carers, and management team took so much care of her it brought us all peace under what can only be described as her traumatic suffering. My grandmother repeatedly said, "They take such good care of me; they are so good to me," despite her pain and extenuating circumstances. We hold the entire team at Ashley Park, including external agency nurses specializing in end-of-life care, in the highest regard, and with the utmost respect. They cared for my grandmother in a way that we were sadly not qualified to do and brought us comfort in doing so. They are truly extraordinary humans and as a family, we would recommend Ashley Park without hesitation.

Many thanks to all the staff for all their hard work in organising the events celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. A thoroughly enjoyable experience for the residents and close family members who were able to attend.
I have been visiting the care home on a weekly basis since my father was welcomed into Ashley Park nearly 10 months ago. I have always found the staff to be professional, caring and friendly. I disagree with previous comments: Both receptionists are thoughtful, respectful and helpful. Of course, with Covid still present in the community, it is important to make certain that visitors wear the correct protective equipment to protect the vulnerable residents. This is just one of their responsibilities, one which in my view they have carried very well - friendly but at the same time ensuring that the guidelines are followed. I would happily recommend Ashley Park to anyone seeking a caring home for a friend or loved one.

I was invited to Ashley Park for a Macmillan coffee morning. I really had a lovely time. The residents who I spoke with appeared relaxed and cheerful. I was made to feel welcome and had a very positive experience overall. I also met a number of staff members who were friendly and hospitable. Thank you

Such a wonderful place.

I visited my relative recently and I was nothing but impressed by the home. All of the staff were happy to help and it felt like nothing was too much to ask which made me feel at ease that she was well looked after. It is a lovely home setting and we were able to enjoy the gardens and spend quality time together. I am looking forward to visiting her again soon and would highly recommend.

The staff here are warm, helpful and always professional. They give great support to the residents. The home is always clean and welcoming. There is a wide range of activities and a lovely selection of meals available. My aunt has been very content here, thank you!
