Dad went into the nursing home as he was very poorly with Parkinson’s and Dementia. From the moment he arrived he was treated with care and respect . He had 1-2-1 care and his carers were so friendly to us all. The home provided loads of activities and they included dad as best as they could. Sadly dad passed away on the 3rd March but the few weeks he spent at Ashbrook Nursing Home gave us the peace of mind that we needed, knowing that he was being well looked after. Thank you all so much for all you did for Dad and us as a family

My uncle came here a few months ago - as a family we are all so very happy with his care, the staff are amazing so very friendly and go above and beyond they have even cooked his favourite for him an omelette!! As he didn’t fancy the dinner - they are a great happy cheerful team, if I were a carer I’d love to join this company - the admin staff are always ready for you if you need advice too.
There’s no rushing time keeping you can visit as often as you like

My friend was sent there from Queens about 4wks ago,I go to see her at least twice a week,they have been.fast, hot lunch meal then about 5.30p.m all they get for their evening meal is 3/4 of a sarnie ,mini savoury egg and COLD WEDGES ? with jelly,surely they should be getting 2HOT MEALS A DAY cause that's what the get in HOSPITALS!! THE ACTIVITIES THEIR SUPPOSE HAVE IN THERE TO KEEP THE ACTIVE ARE NONE EXISTENT, TOILETS IN THEIR ROOM NEED A GOOD SCRUBBING, ESPECIALLY THE SKIRTING AREA,I hate leaving her in there

My mother was in Was in Queens Hospital and transferred to Ashbrook nursing home for care Tuesday, the 12th of April 2022. The home is very basic, however I cannot praise the nursing staff ,the care workers,The cleaners, the activity leaders & the administration team enough. They really do care. My experience so far of this home is very positive I just wish my mum’s room had a shower so that I could give her a shower.If she stays in this nursing home I hope that we might be able to transfer to a room with bathing facilities. My mother has dementia and was very scared to move away from her family. The nurse hyacinth was very reassuring and gave me no doubt that she would be looked after well.

My sister who was in her early 40s had a stroke 3 years ago and needed assistance with her care due to left sided weakness and she placed in the home. She died of pulmonary embolism few days after a successful reconstruction of craniotomy. I still blame myself for her death as she told me not to sent her back to the home after the surgery because she had witnessed people dying like flies. I sent her back to the home hoping to look for another home later. Unfortunately, she died couple weeks afterwards. Some of the staff were amazing but the manager was horrible.
I will not recommend to anyone!

My dad was admitted to ashbrook about nine months ago . He isn’t easy to deal with nor is Dementia they do a stellar job . The staff are friendly and helpful and in my opinion very tolerant indeed . I haven’t witnessed anything that you could possibly consider cruelty or negligence. I visit three times per week .

Please do not allow your loved one to go here the home is very much understaffed and they are unable to cope with the needs of the residents. This is relevant to my experience on the 2nd floor. Their ratio of staff to patients is in need of adjustment as they have many failings, including security issues. The staff do their best but the Home needs to be reviewed by the appropriate Care authorities immediately before something else happens. A very dear parent of mine was discharged from Hospital to here, without my authorisation and without being able to view beforehand and was only in the Home for four days and through their negligence and neglect ended up in Hospital and subsequently died 10 days later. FOUR DAYS she was in there!! That says it all.
