No Hot food today served in the cafe. Overall great layout of the shop floor. Taken a few photos to show you guys. Everything was easy to find. Train station nearby.

The worst supermarket I've ever been to. Staff were rude and depressed.... Like they didn't want to help anyone when asked.

Not to mention the baby aisle reminded me of a third world country with nothing present and it being an absolute mess.

Fruits were left empty with no one passing any attention to re shelfing.

I will not be returning ever.

Although I agree friendly and helpful staff
whenever we go there some of the shelves are empty and what you normally buy one week they have them the next it's not there with some items.
Unfortunately it seems a bit hit and miss.
We do pop in as it's the nearest supermarket but not for our full weeks shopping
But it doesn't seem as busy as it used to be .
A shame as it was very good

Good store, but heading in the wrong direction.
Pros: good size, great selection, competitive prices, location.
Cons: so heavily invested into self service people that leaves customers feeling frustrated. "You have a bag?- yes. Please wait for the staff to confirm it. Buying energy drinks? Well you guessed it- wait for staff to confirm it. Weight mismatched ( happens two to 3 times over the scanning cycle)- wait for staff...Need a receipt with your fuel?" There is no paper, do you wish to continue anyway?"well, after standing i que this long, of course I need to continue now...but it's my legal right to be able to get a receipt and I got it once since the person looking after the petrol station was removed. I leave next door and fill up here all the time, so that is a lot of chances.( Just an example).

All in all, we can see that massive savings are being made by removing service people and replacing them with computers, but are the customers getting anything in return? Or we are just downgrading the overall shopping experience and normalising it?
With, places like aldi and lidl now cost about the same since do you really need to keep following their example with 1- 2 tills open and a massive queue of people with no hope in their eyes?

Proper mess of a shop, waiting ten minutes to get an item just for it to show up as ‘No Sale Allowed’ are your staff not checking their stocks? Kid was upset as thought he was getting a Spider-Man duvet cover for us to be told ‘ sorry recalled ‘ also 10 minutes for someone to come and help us as there was only one person on the self checkout during rush time and then suddenly… 4 other employees turn up. Awfully managed.

Open from 6am to 11pm Friday nights.
It’s a nice big store, does get a bit packed out sometimes and the self service handsets are sometimes not ready as they are charging back up.
A good selection of food and drink downstairs with homewares and clothes on the first floor

The shop itself is fine on the whole but omg the other customers are so rude ! My husband just wanted my opinion on something so walked over we were there for 30 seconds together ? Not long until another lady said " can you move along" she didnt even give me a chance to apologise when she said "there's also another lady waiting" i could understand if we were there for ages but we werent.

It was also not that busy when we got there.

I admit i lost my temper a little which i dont usually do but it was more because the lady didnt even me a chance to apologise before jumping down my throat.

I kmow its silly to loose your temper over something so trivial but people really just need to wait with a bit more patience and just wait their turn !

Manners cost nothing.

Aside from that lol staff were pleasant never have a problem with them its the other customers lol 😅

Staff are pretty dim (floor and self checkout staff ) not the normal till staff , self checkout staff are rather blunt and rude like they hate their jobs , store is clean and tidy though and lots of stock so won't knock the score too much for that , just get some happier staff
