They are amazing with children and children who are neurodivergent, they listen and adapt to each individual child which for a group setting is really rare.

I joined Aragona martial arts 6 years ago after unfortunately being assaulted on the walk home from work.

I had spent several years training a traditional KungFu martial art and in the heat of the physical exchange , the training I had did not suffice, years of passive training and punching the air didn’t help in the real world.

So once I had healed from my injuries I found coach Savio and the Aragona martial arts club , and I’ve simply never looked back.
Within 6 months I felt I had a better understanding of self defence than 4 years in my previous traditional martial art.

Now 6 years later Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is far more than just self defence to me.
It has become a passion and part of my weekly routine I now couldn’t live without.
Aside from now being confident out in the world that I’m able too look after myself and my family , BJJ gives me a much needed mental reset after a long day at work , its very easy to become addicted to the clear mindset that occurs when you are training.
Needless to say it also keeps me fit and trim!

The club has a welcoming and family friendly atmosphere , with all people from all walks of life training along side each other , in a safe and respectable space.

I’d encourage anyone looking to either learn some self defence , loose some excess weight , or just try a new hobbie to come for a taster class !

It genuinely changed my life and I’m sure it could yours !

I have been with this club now for about 2 months. I am a complete novice with no previous experience and I must say from the very first session I was made to feel very welcome, not only by the coaches but also the other members. If you are looking for a fun way to get fit and to learn a martial art at your own pace, I would highly recommend.
