I to was refused help while in the area on holiday. So instead I was forced ( while feeling pretty rotten) to drive to Penrith hospital and sit in a waiting room for five hours ( still feeling rotten ) for a someone to dip a urine sample , confirm I had an infection and give me a prescription. A job that would have taken minutes. I think it's shameful. The urgent treatment centre are absolutely rushed off their feet and i am angry for them also.

I was a patient with this practice and its forerunners for 36 years.
I found the reception staff helpful and efficient in either arranging appointments or arranging the nowadays obligatory triage phone call.
In recent times.
I found the medical staff effective in either diagnosing various conditions and providing treatment or in arranging for referral to specialists.
The nursing and specialist support staff were always efficient and above all good humored when carrying out their roles taking blood samples etc.

Receptionist refused a GP appointment for our daughter while we were in the area on holiday. Disgraceful behaviour. This must surely be against NHS policy?
