Amazing classes, would highly recommend to anybody. Both Debbie and Helen are very knowledgeable and approachable, they are both happy to answer any questions and offer advice and support when it's needed. The classes had a positive impact on our pregnancy journey and shaped our labour and birth into a great experience rather than a traumatic one. I cannot express enough how impactful and helpful the antenatal academy was for us and the birth of our baby girl.

From the moment I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted to take classes and Antenatal Academy looked like the perfect fit for myself and my husband. Debbie and Helen are incredibly knowledgeable ladies and are so positive around the whole birthing experience – I came away from every class with a newfound confidence in myself and excitement to give birth. The classes were also wonderful for giving my husband the confidence and resources he needs to be a supportive birth partner.

On top of the six week classes, Debbie offered an online three-step hypnobirthing course, followed up with a 1-to-1 call, which was an absolute blessing. Not only did it prepare me even more for birth by giving me extra tools for my toolbox and helping me to understand hypnobirthing on a deeper level, but the relaxation tracks included gave me the power to relax in the last stages of my pregnancy, let go of negative thoughts, and keep me thinking positively about my upcoming birth.

Less than a week after our final class I went into spontaneous labour and had the most beautiful, calm water birth I could have wished for and I truly believe Debbie and Helen played a big part in this. They gave myself and my husband the knowledge and understanding behind every stage of labour and the confidence to say no to unnecessary medical intervention when needed.

Debbie and Helen are amazing!! I cannot rate The Antenatal Academy enough!

I'm a serial "over thinker" and had so many questions throughout my pregnancy, these guys really did put my mind at ease as no question was too small or silly to ask. They were always happy to answer and if they didn't know the answer, they'd take the time to find out and let me know.

It was great for my partner too as it gave him the building blocks for him to help me throughout my labour! We also met some fantastic couples who we've stayed in touch with and met up with since, it's really lovely to meet people going through the same thing.

If you're wondering whether to book this, then don't hesitate any longer! Do it!!

I attended Debbie's hypnobirthing course which was wonderful for me, especially as I ended up being in labour for nearly two days!
I was also on the phone to Helen the night before I went for my induction, she was absolutely incredible and made me feel so much more confident about going through with it.

These ladies are amazing and I can't rate them highly enough, 5 stars isn't enough!

Thank you both so much for making my pregnancy even more enjoyable than it already was!

Debbie and Helen run fantastic, highly informative classes. My husband and I found them enjoyable, interesting and they really helped us both relax in the lead up to our first baby’s arrival.

They include information on all the options available and offered by the midwives/hospital and how to advocate for yourself and take time to make informed decisions. We learned a lot from them and I am very grateful for the information my husband took away as he was very anxious about birth beforehand.

Each group also has a WhatsApp group which is an open place to ask questions. I took use of this when my baby was found to be a footling breach and I wasn’t sure whether to proceed with an offered ECV. Helen also reached out privately to offer additional support when my ECV failed and I was left with the safest delivery option of an elective c-section (the complete opposite of my hopeful water home birth)! I went on to have a very relaxed and positive c-section and don’t have any regrets surrounding my baby’s arrival.

Some of the activities offered allow you to work in groups, getting to know the other expectant parents, we have kept in touch with a few of the other couples and love to meet up with our babies. We would never have known these people had we not attended the classes. It is so good to know people in the same situation as new parents as you are experiencing very similar stages at the same time.

I have recommended antenatal academy to anyone I know who is pregnant at the moment as I cannot fault Debbie and Helen at all!

The one thing I wish you were taught at either this type of class or by a midwife is how to dress a baby (Debbie and Helen do teach you how to put a nappy on!) and how to correctly fit them in a car seat but again this is just additional feedback the current classes are brilliant!

We can't speak highly enough of the Antenatal Academy! As well as being highly knowledgeable, Debbie and Helen are fun and engaging teachers. The course is delivered in a relaxed setting and provides a host of useful information and practical tips, which we certainly employed during our pregnancy and birth journeys. We would not hesitate to recommend!

Our time with Antenatal Academy was a really poQsitive part of our pregnancy, we learned a lot and felt more prepared. Brilliant course with two very enthusiastic and knowledgeable teachers.
As a first time mum, preparing for birth and the latter stages of pregnancy was a daunting idea but both Debbie and Helen were informative, understanding and knowledgeable. Not only teaching me to be empowered and informed but also that I am able to make my own decisions about what I want from birth and what is best for me and my baby.
