My mother has been at Aldersmead for over 2 years. The Staff are very welcoming and friendly and keep me informed when required. They look after my mothers care needs and go the extra mile to make her feel at home 🙂 The food is good and they have a variety of activities for all abilities. I am very pleased with the level of care my mother receives.

I couldn’t be happier with Mum’s care at Aldersmead. The staff are friendly, helpful and very caring. They always answer any queries I may have and keep me well informed with all aspects of her care. The home itself is always spotlessly clean and tidy as is my Mum’s room. Mum always looks well cared for, I really couldn’t ask for more.

I cannot begin to describe the relief that we as a family felt when my husband moved into Aldersmead. From the very beginning any contact we had with them has been exceptionally professional, whilst at the same time always providing that friendly caring touch.

My husband has Multiple Sclerosis and his needs are highly complex. Previous care homes have not been able to manage his needs and subsequently due to deterioration he found himself in hospital for months before we were fortunate enough to have found Aldersmead.

It feels like a home from home with ALL staff smiling and acknowledging you when you walk in and there is an unmistakable sense of calm throughout the home. Each and every one of the staff talk with my husband trying to engage with him even if they are just passing his room.

Communication is key when you have a loved one in a care home, especially when they can not be relied upon to communicate themselves and this again is where Aldersmead excels. The Matron is extremely skilled and experienced and leads a highly trained staff team including a very competent Clinical Lead.

We could not recommend this care home enough.

My Dad was moved here last year as a temporary stopgap, but has since become a resident. The care he receives is brilliant, he’s always clean, tidy & happy. The staff are very friendly & professional too. I recently attended their annual Xmas party & all the residents had a lovely time. The spread was amazing so I left well fed & watered ? Another really important observation is that everything is very clean & the everywhere smells amazing! Highly recommend Aldersmead if you are looking at options for a loved one.

Whenever I visit mum the staff are always friendly and go out of their way to make her feel important to them. She tells me how much she likes the staff and how they look after her. The only small issue is despite naming my mums clothes, some items have managed to go missing. Overall a very lovely place. I’m very happy that my mum feels settled and I know I can leave her in very capable hands.

With the sad circumstances of a loved one's deteriorating health we were fortunate enough to secure a bed for him at Aldersmead Care Home. Little did we realise how lucky this would prove to be for all of us, now we have a moment to reflect back over the past 6 weeks.

Within a short period of time it became apparent that our loved one was approaching the end of his life, with no possible chance of the situation being reversed. As, you can imagine this was a very difficult and painful time for all of us.

Throughout this time however, we all received the most amazing standard of care from Aldersmead staff, without exception!
This became increasingly evident to us nearing the end, when we chose to remain at our loved one's bedside, both daytime and at night.

All of the staff were professional, efficient and incredibly conpassionate with their care provision. They were swift in their response to ensure our loved one's symptoms were controlled, they maintained his dignity, gave him really individualised care and they were incredibly kind and supportive throughout.

We cannot thank this team enough, nor recommend them enough from our personal experience. We'll done Aldersmead. Keep going with your hard work and your lovely care.
