Horrible experience as a patient. I am no longer a patient there and i am glad. Receptionists are not welcoming. I had an appointment over phone with a doctor. This was a while ago. Doctor called and spoke for maybe 2 minutes then before i could say anything, he cut the phone saying he’d like me to do some bloods. I mean there was no proper history taking. I know GPs are busy and they have lots to do, but you have at least 10 minutes time for a patient but my appt did not even last for 2 mints. Extremely disappointing.

I was also told to submit a stool sample and to collect a pot from reception. Went to reception twice, and was told the machine to print the labels are not working on two separate occasions. And the receptionists were not even bothered to come up with a solution.

I thought probably this is what it is and maybe all surgeries are like this. But in my new surgery, i got an appointment on the same day and had a very smooth consultation. So, it definitely is not the case with every surgery. Things need to change at Addison House.

Can't talk to a human. Doctors don't call when they say they will. Even with a 4 and a half hour time frame. Just trying to get my sons blood test results that you text me saying you wanted to discuss. I phone the automated line to request a call back for test results as I haven't received my phone call and then I get a text saying in two weeks someone will call to do my sons sick note instead. What does my one year old need a sick note for? I just want his test results.

Econsult I'd a waste of time as you call and answer a series of questions to try and get an appointment if it decides you need one. Then you get a text whether it's confirming an appointment or prescription or even to give you test results(even if you ask for a phone call to discuss). You can get through to reception who will try to direct you back to Econsult and when they are willing to help they don't do what they say either.
If you do get a GP more likely a phone call on a Saturday from a GP who then also don't do as they say or don't actually listen to what you say during the consultation.
I've been waiting for a prescription for painkillers and stomach liners for prolapsed discs for 10 days. Either GP fails to put request through, reception say I'll get it done and requests only the stomach liners. Call again and get told I'll follow this through all day until done that parts correct and then you collect prescription and it's the wrong strength medication. They don't care about patients here Avoid Avoid Avoid. Should have kept Barbara castle separate from here at least you could speak to people face to face

Only just joined and on both occasions was made to wait 30minutes+ for my appointment. Then when I finally got to the doctor the urgency he had to diagnose me and get me out, so he could catch up on lost time to get to his next patient made me feel like a number rather than a human.

Might be the worse practice i’ve encountered. I have been diagnosed with an illness with medical reports from abroad which i was asked to get a translated copy so they are able to accept it and fast track my diagnosis and treatment. Spent over £200 translating documents which has been ignored and had requested blood tests for the 3rd time with no plan in course. Extremely rude and patronising when speaking to patients, ‘Dr. John’ if you dont enjoy what you do for a living or lack the communication skills when dealing with a patient that is clearly worried then it speaks volumes on what the NHS has become

Obviously a disaster of a surgery! With regularity you can call up, get to the end of a laborious automated Q and A only to be told there’s no appointments before the call disconnects.
Completely unfit for purpose and so if it’s me that is feeling unwell, I will usually just try and tough it out, but that’s not possible when it’s my young children.
Either way this shouldn’t be happening!

There’s just no hope of talking to a receptionist let alone a dr at this surgery. The online econsult system just tells you to call. You call and an automated service tells you there are no appointments how on earth are you meant to speak to a healthcare professional in what is not urgent enough to go to a&e or minor enough for a pharmacist to help with!

Absolutely shocking, whenever I call it’s an automated service and never get through, it just keeps going round in circles! To the point my prescription that I am supposed to get every month I can’t, my daughter aged two has had to go without her eczema cream! when both my 1 year old and two year old was unwell despite sending photos to the gp they still never got back to me. So I had to wait for it to clear up on its own. It is a tragic service.
