Never known a Dr's surgery be so unhelpful in my life. Two of my tablets showing different instructions and was told it's because they are different medicine. Well that's logical Sherlock. But one says don't drink a certain fruit juice and the one below in the blister pack says do drink certain fruit juice. Very confusing. So which one is it ? You couldn't make it up

June 26th 2024 unfortunately had the need to ring the surgery.
I am not registered at this surgery, don’t know how they work, book appointments etc
As I made the call to the surgery I listened to the details on recorded messages to discover what I needed couldn’t be achieved by the receptionists at this time.
Really polite helpful and happy sounding lady answered the phone ( apologies I cannot remember your name but you finished work at 13:30 ?) she explained procedures to me then listened ………….
This lovely lady dealt with my need and sent it up the chain to be dealt with. (Hope you had a nice afternoon off as you definitely deserve it)
Long story short receptionist 1 passed on my query, finished her work day and passed it to receptionist 2 ?
My first phone call to surgery was at 13:15hrs, due to procedures and professionalism of these two receptionists and the Nurse practitioner Justine ( hope I’ve got your role right ) by 15:00hrs, just 2hrs and 15 mins later my worry/panic had been resolved.
Thank you to this professional, polite, dedicated, caring and happy team at Acreswood surgery for your time and effort.

We cannot recommend this surgery highly enough. Without exception all the staff, from receptionist, nurses to doctors are lovely. They are compassionate, caring, friendly, helpful and very efficient. The doctors have always been thorough in their job and nothing has been too much trouble.
Our favourite doctor has to be Dr Rawson. I feel like I could talk to him about any medical issues without any embarrasmemt and in total confidence. Having said that, on occasion when we've had to see another doctor, I've always been more than happy with the service that I've received.

Husband has ongoing medical issue and trying to get a sick note is a nightmare every time! Doctor either forgets to sign it or re-issue and we have to make several calls before it can be obtained. Why is it so difficult every time? If he can't see the same doctor, he has to repeat all the symptoms & medical history. Surely the doctor the appointment is with could have the case notes ready?

I luckily don’t need to go to the GP often but given recent reviews, I’ve been trying to fight off and infection myself for the last few weeks.
Last night I gave in an booked an appointment for next week through the NHS app but this morning I rang to check if there was anyway I could get antibiotics without mithering the dr. I was told I was not mithering anyone and that Infact there was a spare appointment this afternoon.
Gp rang, prescription ordered and antibiotics in hand.
I cannot fault this service despite the pressure the NHS is currently under. Thanks.

In the seven years I have been a patient at the practice, I have seen various GPs, and have found no faulty with any. Nor have I any issues with the HCA or Nurses - all grand. Over my lifetime I consider two GPs as the best I have ever seen and one of these is at Acreswood Surgery. Overall very happy with the practice and would not consider moving

I am fortunate enough to have the best doctors surgery in the area.
I can not fault the receptionist team. I email my repeat prescription. It has always been ready to collect . I have seen a couple of male doctors but havnt really clicked with them . but Dr. Challa is brilliant. She listens . she cares.
So before & during covid 19 . They all do a great job. Congratulations.

Getting worse as time goes on. I now refuse to call by phone as it is will destroying having to listen to them dronning on and on about what hoops you have to jump through just to try and get some service. It's well over 3+ minutes just to get put on hold. The prescription service is terrible. I'm constantly getting failures. Looking for a new GP practice
